Historically, about $35/tire rebate when paid (at least partially) with the card.

My rear tires only last about 12,000 miles, and there is basically no warranty because they can't be rotated (staggered fitments), so I buy more tires than the average person.

Corvette, perchance?

Prius.

Yes...CV definitely does not stand for corvette...

I had been debating getting a Nordy's card for a while for the times I shop in store (when I buy online most times I go through SD portal to get bonus cash back so I have to use Disco). Not sure if I want to get the card now because my experiences with a TD backed card haven't been stellar.

Given your affinity for ugly cars, I thought it was obvious - "CV" stands for Deux Chevaux (Citroën 2CV), right?

There's no way Nordstrom is going to let TD Bank treat this product like Target. Not saying they'll have the loosest slots, but avg transaction amount has to factor in to the equation.

I don't think they will either. I know TD Bank is the issuer for some higher end stores {Cartier, Tourneau Watches}

excellent point Konrad..

Called today.

$500 -> $2500

painless.

Congrats! :clapping:

I was turned down for a CLI this morning based on my EX report. They approved me with EQ, but apparently only use EX for CLI request.

I'm not sure how accurate this is, but I was told that Nordstrom will continue to make the credit decisions and that the accounts will just be backed my TD Bank.

My EX is frozen and I got a 3x CLI about 2 weeks ago. I tried to get a Visa but I am not at $5,000 yet.

I started at $1,000 and then got a CLD to $500 due to having a bad account in the past. Hey at least they didn't close my account. Then up to $2,000 after waiting about 6-7 months. Just $3,000 more to qualify for the Visa I guess that I will be at the mercy of TDBank underwriters if they will let me have it. She said to call back in 4 months for another CLI.

I already have the Visa at $5K, but my EX report is still a minefield.

ntil

me too, it is tough, but you are in with chase and citi. mine was up in the low 700's until mortgage woes..

Seems like the best place to post this...

Just called on my Nordstrom retail card for a soft pull cli.

Current limit 1k and just hit 12th statement (used 3 times). When asked amount requested, I responded 2k and she replies "well you qualify for 6k, would you

like the whole amount?

Surprised, had a hard time getting a 500.00 cli 6 months ago with them, to the point of being apprehensive to ever try again.

Not used to 5k cli's. Cber's, once again, TY for the help!

Since you are above 5k now, was there any mention of converting the store card to the visa sig?

Nope. Should I have asked? Does it report as a new account if converted?

With the scores in your sig (749, 753, 744) I would ask about the possibility of converting it to the Visa Sig.

Aren't we due for a CLI on Oct. 1?

I have yet to get a CLI. I was approved with EQ (EX frozen) and EX is too dirty for a CLI.

Oh, right. Now it's coming back to me... sorry! Do they use EX for the CLI? You already have the Visa... that is what I am hoping for.

Thank you. That's my mid-score. My EQ is the highest. Oh, well.

I think the good times are over. I noticed that TD Bank is at the bottom of the website. Called for my 4 month increase. Denied.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Did they hard pull..or did they give you a reason for denial?
I don't think they pulled a hard, as I have gotten no alerts, plus there was no disclosure. No reason given, just that I'll get a letter.

I forgot to mention that I was on hold for 10 minutes the first time I called and then I had to give up. The second time I called, I was on hold for 15 minutes. It also sounded like the call was answered overseas.

I thought things were looking up when I received a communication stating that Nordstrom personnel would continue to service the account (store card, $15k CL), Went on to say that they would continue to stress strong customer service.

Did this not apply to the VISA?
