Historically, about $35/tire rebate when paid (at least partially) with the card.

My rear tires only last about 12,000 miles, and there is basically no warranty because they can't be rotated (staggered fitments), so I buy more tires than the average person.

Corvette, perchance?

Yes...CV definitely does not stand for corvette...

I had been debating getting a Nordy's card for a while for the times I shop in store (when I buy online most times I go through SD portal to get bonus cash back so I have to use Disco). Not sure if I want to get the card now because my experiences with a TD backed card haven't been stellar.

$10 :)

I probably don't have a chance of going from $5K to $15K, but I'll try.
A SP and a few minutes of your time can't hurt.

Good luck! :good:

My plan was always to request $15K. Whether or not I get it is a different story. I need to wait until Monday though.

When I got to 15K, I had asked the in-store employee to call to increase my CL on my Siggy to accommodate a purchase I knew was well within my current limit.

I heard the employee tell the credit department I would use another card instead of theirs if they couldn't raise my limit.

That phrase did it. :)

They have some of the lowest APRs for in-house purchases if you need to carry a balance which is currently at 10.9%. My Tiffany & Co is lower at 10%.

I believe I was at 8k at the time.

Haha

Improbably or inconceivably are antonyms of perchance in this usage, I believe.

I believe "no way in F'ing hell", is probably the most appropriate antonym in this case...

Called today.

$500 -> $2500

painless.

Congrats! :clapping:

I was turned down for a CLI this morning based on my EX report. They approved me with EQ, but apparently only use EX for CLI request.

I'm not sure how accurate this is, but I was told that Nordstrom will continue to make the credit decisions and that the accounts will just be backed my TD Bank.

I hope that Nordstrom retains control.

My EX is frozen and I got a 3x CLI about 2 weeks ago. I tried to get a Visa but I am not at $5,000 yet.

I started at $1,000 and then got a CLD to $500 due to having a bad account in the past. Hey at least they didn't close my account. Then up to $2,000 after waiting about 6-7 months. Just $3,000 more to qualify for the Visa I guess that I will be at the mercy of TDBank underwriters if they will let me have it. She said to call back in 4 months for another CLI.

I already have the Visa at $5K, but my EX report is still a minefield.

I applied Sat. online with EX frozen. was given a number to call. They said EX was frozen, I asked if they could pull TU because EX would cost $10.00 to unfreeze. They were nice about it and pulled TU. They said I would receive a letter requesting a copy of ID and utility bill and to send this in and they will further review. I read something simmular in the notes in the Credit Pulls Database. Today they pulled TU again. Hope I get it.

I did the same thing last year and had them pull EQ. Apparently for CLIs you can't do that. I was told they only use EX for CLIs, at least the SP CLIs.

Remember that current creditors can SP through a freeze.

Given your affinity for ugly cars, I thought it was obvious - "CV" stands for Deux Chevaux (Citroën 2CV), right?
