The acct "fell off" since it had hit the 7 year reporting mark.

No, in THIS CASE, ( and THIS CASE ONLY) call the CRA(s) and tell them that the account is OBSOLETE and has been reinserted. If they tell you they are filing a dispute for you SAY NO you want to speak to a Manager as this is an ILLEGAL re-insertion and you are going to IMMEDIATELY file a complaint with the FTC and the CFPB.

How are you accessing this account data?? Are you using a REAL "backdoor" or are you using some 3rd party monitoring service.

Question: I wanted to know how to "backdoor" into Equifax?

I received my EQ report without the amount of $2626.00 reporting from HSI and sent in the request to update/delete names and addresses. I then get the 90 day fraud alert and currently in the process of send the DV to TU and EQ. I noticed that after I sent my request to delete $2626.00 showed on EQ. My question is should I get another report and include the $2626.00 in the DV or wait till they respond back with (currently on report) HSI of $1013.00?

To "backdoor" you go to the Eq website, click on NEW DISPUTE, ( do NOT actually enter a new dispute) this will bring up your current report.

I am afraid I do NOT understand what you are trying to say-- is the OBSOLETE account reporting or not??

Well when I was sending in my dispute to delete addresses/names the amount of $2626.00 from HSI (A CA) showed on my report. Before it showed I already had my hard copy of my credit report from EQ. Now I'm about to send the initial dispute to EQ using the special format (blue ink and handwritten) but I only have my current report that doesn't show $2626.00. Should I get another report with the current $2626.00 or just dispute it later?

Sorry if it was confusing

If you went to the "backdoor" of Eq and the $2626. account is NOT on the report, then there is NOTHING for you to dispute.

Where did you get the information that it WAS on the report?? If it was from a credit monitoring service or from ANYTHING other than the CRA report itself, then it was NOT THERE.

How would you get " another report with the current $2626.00 " and from WHERE??

Posted

Well I actually got that information from the USAA credit monitoring. It stated that $2626.00 was on my EQ report after I received a hard copy of my report. Also I received a statement from HSI for the amount of $2626.00

I just check the backdoor and the $2626.00 is currently on the EQ report. I suppose I will send in the copy instead of my hard copy

Thanks in advance :)

OK, yes CALL in a dispute to Eq if you see it on your "back door" copy, print it out, the whole report.

Ok so for the update: I know I haven't written in a while just on CB reading all that I can (so much to absorb)

I sent in the initial dispute for TU and EQ on the 22 June 2015 CM hopefully I will here something soon

TU delivered on the 27th

EQ delivered on the 25

Posted (edited)

Well I am unable to post attachments for some reason (so will have to type by hand)

So I just wanted to say that TU and EQ have responded rather quickly to my initial disputes. Very excited to get something back so quickly, no matter the outcome. THANK YOU WHYCHAT!

INVESTIGATION RESULTS:

So TU was reporting 2 collection accounts

#1 Credit Bureau Associates - Deleted

#2 Direc Management - Deleted

(SO EXCITED)

Now Equifax there are currently 4 accounts that weren't even touched

#1 Direc Management (Same Account TU deleted - $390)

#2 Credit Bureau Associates (Same Account TU deleted - $133)

#3 HSI Financial Services ($1013 This account has to be an billing ERROR - There is no EOB for the amount - FYI same date of Services reported for #4)

#4 HSI Financial Services ($2626)

EQ Response:

"We have reviewed your concerns and our conclusions are:

Please be specific with your concerns by listing the account names, numbers, and the nature of the dispute"

Honestly I don't understand why they sent this statement when I followed the outline from WHYCHAT and accounts were deleted with TU

I enclosed copies of my report with the collection accounts. So I don't understand this.

So as of now TU has deleted the items and I just need to know where do I go from here with EQ.

Should I resend the same letter?

Thanks WHYCHAT for all your help. This has been amazing!

OK,this thread has gotten rather long so I am going to have to ask you to summarize.

You opted out,you deleted old addresses,

http://www.whychat.5u.com/GUIDEBOOK.html

http://www.whychat.5u.com/GUIDE%20HIPAA%20PROGRAM.html

you disputed several medical accounts to the CRAs ( all 3??), some were deleted, some remained on some reports.

http://whychat.5u.com/hipaadisp.html

You have sent the medical DV to the CAs??

http://whychat.5u.com/ltrcavalhipaa.html

You have sent the follow up disputes to the CRA(s)?

http://whychat.5u.com/ltrcavalhipaa.html#DISPUTE

I have opted out and deleted old addresses and currently I am only at the point of receiving my Initial dispute results from TU and EQ. EX had no medical collection accounts.

TU deleted all 2 medical collections on my report

Initial Dispute Results from EQ:

"We have reviewed your concerns and our conclusions are:

Please be specific with your concerns by listing the account names, numbers, and the nature of the dispute"

So at this point with EQ should I resend the initial dispute letter?

No, follow the HIPAA letter guide.

Send the medical DV to the reporting CA and the follow up dispute to Eq:

http://www.whychat.5u.com/GUIDE%20HIPAA%20PROGRAM.html

So in the HIPPA process it states:

"The next steps depend on your results from the initial dispute letters

If all the disputed accounts are deleted from all credit reports, you need not do anything else except KEEP hard copies of your records for at least 3 years - Which is TU. Everything was deleted

If the accounts are verified" ..... but nothing was verified, deleted or disputed.

Sorry for the questions just don't want to get anything out of order or mess it up. But should I get a verified response (or just a better response in general) first from EQ before moving on to medical DVs to the reporting CA and the follow up dispute to EQ?

Posted

Your response from Eq was the equivalent of a "remains" decision, however, if it was received fairly quickly it may have been an automated response to keep them "legal" within the required time.

Check the Eq "back door" to see if the account is actually still there, or if it is showing under investigation.

Thank you so much for that info

So I checked the backdoor method and the accounts are still there and there is nothing listed on them as far as investigation. Its like nothing was ever touched. The only thing that really shows for "dispute status" on the site is the response I received in the mail:

"We have reviewed your concerns and our conclusions are:

Please be specific with your concerns by listing the account names, numbers, and the nature of the dispute"

Sad that it may have been an automated response.

Where do I go from here?

Posted (edited)

Oh also another question. Do I send in a medical DV to HSI for the amount of 2626 although there is an EOB for this amount??

Thanks again for your help!!

Alrighty! Will do

So send each medical DV to the reporting CA CMRR?

NEVER NEVER NEVER send any CA mail that requires their signature-- send certified ONLY without the return receipt-- READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!

Posted

Yes, include the HSI account, as you have received no proof of a current relationship.

Send the medical DVs CM, no return receipt.

http://whychat.5u.co...cavalhipaa.html

Then, as soon as you get online proof of delivery, you send the follow-up to the CRAs:

http://whychat.5u.co...aa.html#DISPUTE Enclosing a copy of the DV letter, and the proof of delivery.

Good luck!!

Thank you. I will do just that. Sending the letters next week. Will be back with an update.

Thanks for all the help from this site!

So... wasn't sure if I needed to start a new thread for this question. Yesterday I had received a collection letter from SCA Collections stating that I owed Southeastern Pathology $370.00.

Now before this collection letter I sent Southeastern Pathology a letter in April of this year (CMRR) disputing this amount of $370.00 because it did not reflect the same amount in which my EOB states ($237.00). Also Southeastern Pathology's letter states "YOUR INSURANCE WAS FILED. WE RECEVIED NO REPONSE" yet my EOB reflects a response.

So my question is do I reach out to Southeastern Pathology again or do I now dispute with SCA Collections?

Thank you for any advice!

Is the account still on your reports??

Had you sent the medical DV to SCA collections before??

If not, send it now.

DO NOT tell them that it was paid, otherwise you MIGHT wind up with a paid collection on your reports.

You MUST deny ALL responsibility for the account and send them the medical DV which includes a total cease and desist.

Is the account still on your reports?? No. The this account is not on any CRA report

Had you sent the medical DV to SCA collections before?? No. Nothing has been sent to SCA Collections.

I sent Southeastern Pathology a dispute letter for reporting the wrong amount in April. Haven't received anything from Southeastern Pathology, but only the Return Receipt that was signed.

If not, send it now.

DO NOT tell them that it was paid, otherwise you MIGHT wind up with a paid collection on your reports. The account for Southeastern Pathology wasn't paid . But I will send out a DV to SCA collections

All medical DV letters sent to CAs yesterday! So hopefully good news soon.

Will follow up with the CRAs once I have confirmation of delivery from the CA

Thank you again!

Just a brief little update …

So I have been checking the CM Delivery for my DV to the CA’s. Apparently HSI CA address is different than what is listed on my Credit Report (there is no “suite 800” on my report)

Equifax Credit Report Address:

HSI Financial Services, LLC

1000 Circle 75 Pkwy SE

Atlanta, GA 30339

HSI Website Address:

Corporate Office Address
1000 Circle 75 Pkwy, Suite 800
Atlanta, GA 30339

USPS:

Your item is being held at the Post Office in ATLANTA, GA 30339 on July 18, 2015 at 10:15 am because the business was closed. The item will be delivered the next delivery day. If this item is unclaimed after 15 days then it will be returned to the sender

Question: Do I resend CM to the address listed on the website? I’m ready to send out the next letters to Equifax but I don’t have confirmation of delivery for HSI
