I know they're known for being slow, but this seems excessive.

I applied for a CLI last Monday. Tuesday afternoon, my application status changed from 'Pending' to 'Instant Approved' -- $1k --> $7500. I uploaded my pay stubs as requested.

Crickets.

So I called on Thursday to confirm they had everything they needed.... CSR asks to call me back. He does and confirms everything looks good. When I check that night, the status is 'Ready for Funding.'

Nothing has changed since Thursday.

Is this normal? Should I call back or hang tight and consider their snail's pace a cost of doing business with a CU?

If it makes a difference, I asked Alliant for a CLI on Wednesday, and my new limit appeared online Friday morning.

My car loan with DCU was wrapped up within 2 days after I finally choose the vehicle. Hopefully you get the final decision soon.

CV - a tragic end to Mr. Toaster Strudel. I applaud the teddy bear's taste in deserts.

I think we all learned a lesson from that. The Tootsie Roll Forest is not safe for frolicking.

I'm not sure the CLI is worth a hard pull. Stuck at $1000 that they started me with two years ago. They were great with the car loan, but it is paid off. I only have a few dollars with them now. I keep it open in case I want another auto loan and the fico.

Thanks, gang! I got impatient and used their 'Send Message' feature to very politely ask if they needed anything else. Less than 5 minutes later, I received a reply apologizing for the delay and telling me that online banking should be reflect my new credit limit. LOL! Apparently, they just needed some gentle prodding.

$1k --> $7500 (my highest limit) was well worth the wait and HP.

At least there are alternatives.
