Time for me to try again.

I hit a wall at $49,000 almost three months ago.

After multiple FOAD responses over the past several weeks, I got this today (92 days since my last CLI):

In honor of you getting 50K Plus with Discovery (If it happens) , can you give Disco a new name?

It was one ring on my landline, and then a hangup before I got there to pick it up.

They just called again and I was able to pick up this time.

They wanted POI to raise the limit from $49,000 to a whopping $52,000.

I took the prize behind door number two: +$1,000 to $50,000 with no strings.

I'm in this for the long haul. Next time I'll submit the POI.

So obnoxious that they pull the POI card and don't adjust the limit accordingly, but still...

CONGRATS on the 50k!

Now I'm the little brother following along. :)

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. As of 30 seconds ago the CLI is not yet reflected on my account.

I recall old phone approvals taking a day or two to post. With this working button we haven't had many reports of the old methods lately. Maybe today?

Still at $49,000.

Still at $49,000.

I recall they need a managers approval for any CLI above 45K and that is why it is not instant. It took more than a day to show 50K on my account after the call.

For 50K and above they need POI, no exceptions.

Wouldn't they have gotten any necessary approvals before they called me and presented me with two options >= $50,000?

The way I remember, they called me to give 2 options, when I was at <50K.

CLI increase to 50K without POI and higher increase with POI and both need approval.

They must of taken your CLI approval wrote it on a little piece of paper.

Rolled it up into a small scroll then attached it to a pigeon's leg.

It must be in flight as I write this to the CLI department.

I'm sure you'll be seeing the new CL soon.

THAT SUCKS! WTF are they waiting for?

I need to add CLIs to the master list of things Discovery does poorly.

Wouldn't it be a shorter list of what they do well? Much less to maintain.

That's a great idea, but I don't think you can save an empty post.

After 3 months of denials (not enough experience with the current limit) (we need an acronym for that), I got a $3600 increase.

+4000

36000 to 40000

Last increase was 6000, 3 months ago.

No usage in past 3 months. Normally gets about $500/mo.

Congratulations guys!

Congrats, VT!

CV, sounds like a bitchy phone call may be in order...Discoverlicious

One of my many issues with Discovery is the routine telephonic panhandling that was required on my part to correct their errors in properly crediting cash back from the 5% category spending (usually worth a few dimes), or a botched Discovery Deal that should have gotten me a-dollar-twelve.

Now I have to call and grovel for a $1,000 CLI they've already promised?

Is it any wonder I loathe this card and this company?
