leedspaddy
Where are people draining VCG these days? The only ones I see near me are issued by Metabank. Will they work at Walmart? Yes Metabank VGCs still work perfectly fine at walmart for now.
banditone
Walmart raised money order fee to .88 cents in my area. No more 499.30. Now it’s 499.12.

Chris58
MG has raised prices at other merchants to $0.88 or $0.89. I didn't know it was a MG decision, (thought Wally). Curiously, my 3 Walmart stores with a WinCo close by remain $0.25, (price competitive reduction).
ZeRo_C0oL
I'm so discouraged right now! I had to spend about $1000 more to reach my SUB on my AAdvantage card. I was getting down to the wire, but I had talked to Citi and found out what the last day was to reach the spend amount. I went and bought more than enough gc's to reach my spend goal, but for some odd reason the charges are still pending... I reached out to Citi and they basically said "oh well!" My date is up, and the charges are still pending. Think there's anything I can do? I hate to miss out on 60k points.

If so, why wait until the last minute?

I had planned a large purchase for a new lens but that fell through and I ran out of time.
Occam
If you need cheap miles you could still get the Barklies Berkeleycard whatever the call themselves now. Not a great deal, AF not waived, but maybe better than nothing.

I made it on 4/6 and I was told in chat that my last day was 4/7. The 7th is my payment due date. Looking back at it, I never realized this could be a problem, but I thought I spent what I needed to in time.

ZeRo_C0oL
Looks like I got my miles. Not sure if it just happened naturally or if it's because I was persistent as hell.. I reached out on social media earlier today and spoke to a couple of different people who said they would make sure I got my points. I just logged in after midnight and it shows that I got my bonus. Probably happened naturally, but I have faith again and am back in love with Citi after talking to those people. lol!

Hopefully that's a data point for someone... Obviously I made a mistake in cutting it so close, but it worked out this time, thankfully. Won't do that again! spreereview
Feel like I leveled up my M$ game as of late.... The OD I visited twice/day ran out of DE cards on the rack, so I smoothly opened it up, found a package, took them out of the plastic and put he remainder on rack. Took about 15 seconds. Next visit they were gone again, so I opened the rack again, took 4 out of a new package, and just left the package inside the rack this time. For me, they never ran out again for the rest of the promotion Also found the grocery stores that just auto drain these so I don't have to say I'm doing $200/time, or anything, just ask for one total and manage it all myself, draining 8-12 on a visit. M$ used to stress me out and involve much more car time, now I feel so smooth and productive

mec
I was approached by a bank manager about identical denomination MO deposit history. We sat at her desk and she asked a script of questions from the ML dept about the source of of funds, the reason for the amounts of each deposit, and whether I intended to continue the pattern. I stopped in the other day to follow up. ML dept would like cc statements showing the GC purchases in question. I'm planning on submitting them and thinking this has a chance of keeping the account open. Guess it could go either way. I think I should consider moving funds after deposit to another account for pulling payments from while they conduct their review.
