Letterman was so young-mid nineties?

That was back when he was funny. :P

They Might Be Giants is a huge favorite from the 1990s. Some of the funniest music ever written.

This is why you're a huge favorite of mine. David Sedaris, TMBG, $200 toasters ... and Strudel!!:blush::wub::blush2:

You're too kind.

Don't forget my trombone solos.

Trombone, Constantinople references, strudel and a twisted imagination ala David Lynch. Marry me cv!

Roger that! ;) I do get a kick out of his posts. More than one has resulted in spitting out my coffee/beverage laughing.

CV, if you're a K. Weill fan, one of the few good covers other than TMBG's Constantanople is Stan Ridgway's cover of Kanonen Song. He sings the lyrics in English, but otherwise doesn't mess with the arrangement.

I'm a huge fan of K Weill, so I'm pretty picky when it comes to covers (all the crappy covers of Die Moritat von Mackie Messer, it's endless...).

Ladies...ladies...I hate to give the impression I'm not a team player... :blush2:

But I feel it's only fair to let you know cv asked me to marry him almost a year ago. :dntknw:

It's in the Master Entitlement Thread.

I had dream of marrying a gay man who's already married, whom I've never met, even though I'm already married and a woman. Until HL ruined it. Thanks a lot, HL. Because otherwise, this was totally realistic. Edited by Losluv

And for those not familiar with triangle man.

From https://play.google.com/music/preview/Tgm4hocxjtol7fohhcqjl3ww2d4?lyrics=1&utm_source=google&utm_medium=search&utm_campaign=lyrics&pcampaignid=kp-lyrics

Particle man, particle man

Doing the things a particle can

What's he like? It's not important

Particle man

Is he a dot, or is he a speck?

When he's underwater does he get wet?

Or does the water get him instead?

Nobody knows, Particle man

Triangle man, Triangle man

Triangle man hates particle man

They have a fight, Triangle wins

Triangle man

Universe man, Universe man

Size of the entire universe man

Usually kind to smaller man

Universe man

He's got a watch with a minute hand,

Millenium hand and an eon hand

When they meet it's a happy land

Powerful man, universe man

Person man, person man

Hit on the head with a frying pan

Lives his life in a garbage can

Person man

Is he depressed or is he a mess?

Does he feel totally worthless?

Who came up with person man?

Degraded man, person man

Triangle man, triangle man

Triangle man hates person man

They have a fight, triangle wins

Triangle man

Don't forget the macarena

Those references are too arcane even for me.

I went to Youtube and was smart with keywords, but regardless of what I found I just kept hearing the Trololo guy.

Eventually he gets disgusted with being a one-hit wonder, but he really picks up the tempo, doesn't he?

What's going on around here? CB is awash in store cards and M$ lately.

Look, if the CB bible were written, the Book of Toy would be a cautionary tale about not getting store cards that don't evolve.

Lowes. Period. One store card. That's it. If you are going to use other store cards, as in actually use them, then have at it. Otherwise, just Lowes!

For love of Mike! How many times?!?

I had just deleted one of yours, but then - oops - added the one on my P.S. and again got a notice. So, had to go back and delete another ... so figured I might as well get 'em all and give myself a little room ... in case the urge struck.

Like now ...

P.S. Geez .. and here I thought I was good to go and now there are too many quoted blocks or some such. Gotta delete more than just emoticons. Hmmm.. who's gonna get the ax????

(shh ... t'was cv. We girls gotta stick together, even if we are after the same, unavailable, guy)

OK. I give up! I've deleted his words, but his *quote box thingy* remains. We can't get rid of him!

I'm going to have to take a hatchet to all of it at this point. So sad. No more quote boxes. Poof.
