Good morning CBers. Just wanted to give some thanks to this forum for helping me on my ongoing journey from BK to someday 800's. I joined this forum two years ago with scores in the low 600's and $1500 in available credit.

I made some mistakes along the way, like too many store cards and maybe too many accounts overall. But this morning, I added up everything and realized I was over the $100k mark with scores in the high 600's, low 700's. I still got a loooong way to go till prime, but with 5 TL's at $10K or more, I feel like I'm finally making progress! Best of all, I financed a car at 1.49%, not the usual high interest BKers get stuck with.

None of it would have been possible without the wisdom and humor of this board. Thank you CB!

Great job man!

I never had a BK but I'm in the 400s and low 500s now; you give me hope that it can be turned around soon.

Read Mendelssohn's journey thread. I've learned a lot from him - he's wicked smart and gives solid advice, as do most folks on CB! Good luck!

That's great news. Reading through your other threads also and now I think I should stop ignoring Barclays. Seems like they have treated you well. Not sure which card to start with though.

Nice work!!

Congrats to you!!! That is really great progress and a good milestone to hit!

Don't worry about "too many accounts" as it will pay off in the long run by making your AAOA solid as a rock. When you open new accounts in a few years it will have almost zero impact on your AAOA going forward.

Nice work!!

Start with the Barclay Rewards card. It seems to be their starter card, but I was able to grow mine and then move the limit to my Arrival later. I love Barclay.

Thanks nate! My AAOA is 4 years despite opening way too many cards, thanks to my oldest negative TL being 11yrs. But my negs start dropping off next year and I will be in a pickle then-lol! Praying for Amex in 2016 and 1989 D*

4 years is great! I hit 800 with a 2.8 year AAOA. I'm waiting for my D* accounts to report next month to see how much it helps. I have tons of new accounts too so it's going to take a lot of 1990 D* to move my AAOA up.

Thanks for the congrats all- cv, I owe a big thanks to you. Your wit and sound advice are invaluable to me and this board. I think of you when I look at my new truck and know I wasn't eaten alive by a finance guy!

You're a blessing!
