Are we seriously going nuts over a Cap One card?

People, gain your sanity.

They aren't bad but it is the same card available yesterday, or last month.

Nothing new here.

High limits, 2% cash back, $400 free money, no annual fee the first year ... sounds horrible.

I said it isn't bad.

Said it's nothing new.

DW would loveeee for us to take kiddies to Great Wolf Lodge again

It's pricey

This may be the ticket

Get one for each of you - $400 X 2 = $800

For me, it scratched an itch, helps utilization (carrying some 0% offers), and put me over the $100k total limits mark :)

Nice

Had same thoughts about utilization.

After the first year, the annual fee is $59 so it takes about 3K in spend to cover the annual fee. Doesn't seem like too much to me. I don't know if they will waive the fee. They routinely waive the fee on their QS and QS1 cards.

Compared to other no AF 2% cash back cards it is, which was why I asked.

I'm just wondering what the long term plan is since everyone will eventually outgrow this card but want to keep the history and potentially high CL.

Those who applied, are you planning on doing a PC to the no AF version in year 2?

You can usually get CAP 1 to waive the AF or perm removal

I've never been to a GWL, but I've heard that's where Disney looted the idea of the "Magic" bands that have half the Disney crowd thrilled, the other half torked off.

I think CV is looking for a cash back travel card with an AF.

I'll call EO first for waiver...if denied I may downgrade. But I can easily do Serve loads throughout the year to meet enough spend to make it worth it. Don't know, will see. I've recently acquired a lot of AF cards....decisions.....

Real quick, I'm looking for the combining limits thread...

This got me thinking to what Cap 1 Max Exposure is in %

I'm not looking into getting any more C1 cards, but looking at the potential for my current cards...

Don't forget that you can't reallocate with C1
