So I know many lurkers may not actually WANT to be a lurker.

This place can sometimes seem intimidating in the beginning and it probably IS. With that said, the only way to ever get beyond that is to start posting.

It can be challenging how to come up with your first post. Some people use progress threads, others try that and get discouraged by the barrage of advice they may see as judgmental. Be assured you are not being judged, to be helped, and in Credit Repair at all, personal opinions and feelings need be left at the door.

I would like to welcome those members who have never posted, to POST IN THIS THREAD, or start one of your own.

You do not know how bored I get when there is no one new to help. Like today, there is a lull in the action and I would welcome the opportunity to help someone.

So welcome to CreditBoards and just remember, you can never get to your second post without your first.

And I understand some lurkers may have 50 posts. But if that is done over the last few years, that is still LURKING.

You are welcome here.

Just by the nature of this thread, I don't EXPECT a lot of replies. BUT, I welcome them.

I think this is a great thread...I lurked for 6 months before I started posting....although I'm still eagerly awaiting my first attack from one of the regulars. LOL

I agree... it is scary at first but then it gets much more interactive and you can learn a lot if you are able to ask questions.

Igmore anyone who is mean or judgmental.. there are many people who can help and the only thing stupider than asking a question is not asking. Just do your reading first. Even the long time posters don't know everything.. many people specialize on certain subjects. Others are just gifted. You may be so as well after you get engaged.

You are a good example of this.

You did some reading first.

Then you have a basis for simple interaction where you know the terminology of the Credit Repair game.

I really do welcome new members where I think I may be able to help them, I find it fulfilling.

I've not posted until today because I've followed the advice in the newbies thread and read as much as I could. And I didn't want to clutter up the board when I got what I needed. I'm at the point of dealing with the 3 collections on my CR but I wouldn't be where I am today without this forum. Y'all are really helpful.

Even if this just nudges a newbie to start a progress thread, accomplished my goal :good:

And the hazing rituals really aren't all that bad ...

They really aren't, if you are hazed, we care.

I lurked for a few months before joining, and after that I read for about 6 months before posting IIRC.

I can see that.

Then you were equipped.

I posted a little bit in the beginning, just in my medical thread.

Taking the plunge in here, took about six months also, then I felt like I had a good grasp on things.

This right here....I know when the time comes it will be out of love. :good:

I've already identified with certain areas that I'm more comfortable and interested in for sure.....and look forward to paying it forward as I continue to learn myself.

In the recent past the best way to get lurkers to post was to mention a new way or less openly talked about way to bump inquires (like the one that works for bumping Experian) but that you would only tell people you knew from their posting history.

Flame free and welcoming threads like this are a good idea too.

Right !!

I try to be a nice guy, and wanted to actually welcome some lurkers out.

It can be liberating and they should experience it.

I do know this much......there are those other boards out there that focus on similar topics. I sure like the personalities here better than anywhere else. Gotta know where you belong. This is definitely the place for me.
