Trans Union Didn't Ask for Payment Info....

Just called to get paid copies mailed. The other two went fine, asked for payment and gave confirmation number. Trans Union just said it was "processed" and I'll get it in bla bla business days. I got free reports on 12/25, are they just sending me that? I tried to call to talk to a rep, but not open again till 8:30 monday.

Oh no. You misunderstood what we're saying.

 

We recently noticed that TU isn't charging for reports. This could be because of any number of reasons.

 

A few other members of CB have noted that they did not pay for the TU report when using the number in my siggy.

 

 

...my best guess is that TU just opens the pipe at the beginning of the year.

I had the same thing happen to me. So I have no idea what I'll get in the mail from them.

I suspect that it's easier to just open up the free reports for the first few weeks of the year.

Thank you for the clarification. I just hope this doesn't make it a "free" report. (for the 30 vs 45 day issue). I will still call and check with them on Monday morning.

Even with the free "45" day report, they rarely use that time. It is overblown.

Well I see it mentioned all the time on this forum about how we dont want to use the free reports for that reason, so I figured it must be for a good reason.

It isn't overblown. With respect, when it's hundreds of dollars, yeah, 14 days isn't worth much. When it's thousands, it's worth the 14 days.
