Things are getting less normal as the merger progresses.

Below is the first leg of a journey I booked on AA.com yesterday, where the reservation is no longer visible. I received both an AA and a US Airways record locator.

I just called US Airways to find out how full the flight is. They told me that they couldn't view the passenger count because the flight - to a US Airways hub - is operated by American. I called American, and they were able to help me with my question.

Probably not a good idea to post your flight number and date here...

I can now book my flight from SD and be on yours....

Yay!!! Me and CV will finally meet :yahoo:

I will make sure to bring chocolate almonds for you....

I know it's your favorite

Yeah, well, someone on this board also knows which seat I'm in, and I'm not saying who.

oooohhhh.... The mystery

Use this site to see how full the flight is and what seats are available. You can also set alerts for a particular seat such as an isle or window.

http://www.expertflyer.com/

I don't see how you can view a flight's passenger count or really anything useful with a free account.

I can see how to create one free alert on one flight during the course of my entire life with a free account. I also see how I can do things like look at generic seating configurations for various airlines' aircraft, which I already do on seatguru.com.

I just spent more time figuring out that I couldn't figure out what I wanted to do on ExpertFlyer than I did on the phone with both airlines combined.

Well, I'm somewhere over New Mexico, and so far no Cappy.

Cappy, I'm the exceptionally charming and handsome guy in row 10. And I want my almonds now.

My info matches eactly bewtween the two, however, I get an error saying it doesn't match. WTF? Guees I will have to make a phone call.

I just had the same problem. The American site hides info it doesn't have, so it gave me no clue that they didn't have my secure flight info (birthdate and gender). It turns out that if you click on "edit" next to your name, it lets you add the secure flight info. Once I did that, my accounts matched.

Apparently I never did set up a Divendeds miles amount through US Airways. I don't either have an AA miles account either.

So I have the 2 USAW cards with the same div mile numbers...

What do you suggest the best way to combine these?

Cappy, where did the bonuses go?

I thought you were confused about this with other cards in the past. Hotel points and frequent flier miles don't stay with the card, they go into your account. For example, Amex doesn't hold on to your Starpoints. They're in the SPG program.

If they are both the same, figure out how to log in to your Dividend Miles account. If necessary, call US Airways for assistance.

Set up an AAdvantage account.

Link the accounts.

it's all linked up now. Thanks!!!

BTW. "Dividend Miles Select" seems like a pretty awesome thing to have. Apparently you save 5K in points every time you book with rewards...

Is AA going to have that option as well?

Thanks

That's useful if you're flying to one of the named cities.

In addition, the AA Platinum card gives you 10% of your redeemed miles back (up 10,000 back per year) for award redemptions. This easily covers the AF on this card for me since I redeemed > 100,000 miles last year.

Booking 4 economy flights should cost you 100K in points, giving you back 20K in points on USAW. That's 20% redemption!!!

Every time I go to aa.com lately to book a flight, check in, etc., this woman creeps me out. She looks psycho to me. I hate her.

She might be Bi-polar

She kinda looks like a demented pre-water-buffalo Kirstie Alley, but she's dressed more like the Quaker Oats® guy.
