Log in to either your AAdvantage or Dividend Miles account and you can link your miles accounts!

You only need to do it one place. I linked mine on the AA site first and when I tried to do it on US Airways website, it said that they had already been linked.

Make sure your personal information matches before trying to link them. :good:

Done!

I wish I could transfer my US Airways miles to AA right now. US Airways prices their one-way redemptions at the same number of miles as roundtrips. My US Airways miles are basically hostages as a result.

My US Airways miles were always part of an AA redemption strategy, so I'm just waiting.

Yes, mine as well.

I don't feel any warmth for the US Airways brand... never have... so I can't wait to liberate my miles anyway! :P

It was just a chance to double up on CC signup bonuses.

DFW is practically owned by American, so it was pretty convenient. :D

I don't care how much time passes with this merger, I'm never connecting in Phoenix again. The US Airways people there are bitter, angry relics from America West, which was always last on my list of choices to fly because it was awful in every way.

Given the choice between America West and anything else, I would always choose anything else, including Southwest. And THAT is saying something...

Things are getting less normal as the merger progresses.

Below is the first leg of a journey I booked on AA.com yesterday, where the reservation is no longer visible. I received both an AA and a US Airways record locator.

I just called US Airways to find out how full the flight is. They told me that they couldn't view the passenger count because the flight - to a US Airways hub - is operated by American. I called American, and they were able to help me with my question.

Use this site to see how full the flight is and what seats are available. You can also set alerts for a particular seat such as an isle or window.

Expertflyer shows you every seat, not just what the booking site wants to show you based on face class.

Thanks for the link. I knew there was a site but I couldn't figure out which one, and listening to hold music allowed me to multi-task better than continuing to search the Interwebs. :D

      Hi all.

If you are looking to apply for the Barclays US Airways card and wish to help a brother or sister out by allowing them to refer you for the card, they will benefit from some bonus miles and you will benefit from 50k in miles. The offer is only good until January 18, 2015 so you would need to apply by then and get approved for the referring person to get the bonus miles. If interested, just PM the next person on the list with your email address as the thread moves along. If you are on the list and get a referral, please post and let people know who is next up for a referral. If someone has received a referral, please move to the next person on the list. I will also update the current order and other can help with that too.

So if you apply, please show some love for the following people:

      Captivated
      nolanryan
      FromBadtoGood
      mizliz1011
      funkiehouse

If you want to offer a referral to a specific person because they helped you with credit repair or you just want to because you want to, then that's okay too. If you want to keep it private, just do it by PM and don't worry about posting in the thread.

If you received the referral email from Barclays and want to be added to the list, please let us know and I will update the order and add you.

If you are not ready to apply now, it looks like the card will be around until March 31, 2015.

      Happy apping!!

Noticed this on the Barclays site. Any thoughts on this? Is there a BOA US Air product I don't know about? I think there use to be a BOA US Air debit card...

US seeks to block US Air-American merger

And I was just approved for a Citi AA Advantage card this weekend!!

As a USAir FF I was ecstatic when Citi gave me $10K and Barclays USAir would only give me $4. I was going to pull the trigger this early but I was still within my recent app spree safe zone and figured the 50K mileage promo wouldn't be around later this year when everyone was applying. Wonder what would happen if I closed the account right after opening - any thoughts?
