I was purchasing a couple of years back and, paid my cards down to below 35%. I did a "rapid rescore" and, I went up over 90 points. I'm not saying you will have the same results but, that's what my results were.

Don't believe that "credit analysis".

As far as util goes you want

one card only showing a $2 balance.

The rest at $0.

You should call all 3 CRAs tomorrow

and get that RJM collection removed for being obsolete.

I had a collection with IC System (collecting for Banfield Pet Hospital). I called up Banfield and they took the payment directly. I then disputed IC System. Banfield accepted a lower amount and sent me a receipt so I used that as supporting document and IC was deleted very quickly.

You might be able to work directly with Uverse and get that IC System collection removed. No guarantees, that was just my experience.

I'd go over to the credit forum and get some help. They will have plenty of advice.

Shifter, calling the CRAs for this situation will a dispute on the credit repor? or they can take it out without any dispute put on the file? I have something similar but I'm in the middle of a mortgage application so not doing anything until I close.

Why are you doing anything

in the middle of a mortgage app?

You do this stuff before you apply.

Because I couldn't let a good opportunity pass by, ideally it would be like you say but I had to pull the trigger otherwise I would have lost the property most probably. So if you call a CRA about something that should have dropped out, will they say that they will create a dispute or will they just delete it?
