If you can't get either of those to work, try this:

Amex Business Gold Rewards

75K MR points for $10K spend in 3 months

AF waived the first year

https://www.americanexpress.com/us/small-business/credit-cards/business-gold-rewards

I found out about this on a travel blog, and the directions were to clear browser history and cookies if the 75K offer didn't come up and to try various browsers.

I tried on Safari on my iphone and got the 25K offer, cleared history and cookies and got the 50K offer. I did that again and got the 75K offer.

From what I understand, this is the best offer that this card ever has. Also, unlike personal Amex cards, you can churn the business cards. If you haven't had this card active in the last 12 months, you are eligible for this offer.

Gosh darnit. I knew I had read this somewhere. Last month, when Amex started the 40% bonus for transferring to BA, I was searching my butt off for where I had seen the link for this thing and I couldn't find it. I think I thought it was the Business platinum though. If I could have gotten in on this in time to get the bonus before the January 31st deadline on the 40% BA bonus, I would have. I was checking all the travel blogs and couldn't figure out where I had seen it -- probably because I thought it was plat rather than gold. And I probably saw you post it here initially and forgot that. Doh!

Yeah, I'm in a little late to get the bonus in time for the Jan 31 deadline. All the rest of my MR points are going to BA though.

I'm surprised that there isn't more interest in this offer. 75K MR points is worth a lot, and the business cards are churnable.

Most people just don't understand the value of BA miles. I didn't for a long time, either. But now I see that 75K MR and see 105k BA miles....or 11.5 round trip short haul flights that would normally cost me at least $200 each. The one I really want is platinum -- I saw they did a targeted offer of 150k MR this past year for that card. It had me singing some Beach Boys....wouldn't it be nice . . . . .

You know, I haven't yet been spoiled by business class. And I'm OK with that as there are a lot of places I'd like to go and I'm more interested in using the miles to go as many places as I can this year -- doing a 3-month trip later this year. I think my first business class flight will probably be HKG or Singapore to NY on Cathay for 67.5k Alaska miles near the end of this year. Then, starting in 2016, it'll be all business class all the time.

In economy, it's only 40K + $11.20 round trip. :good:

If you see any exceptional signup bonuses, go for them all.

That doesn't suck.

Avios are really good and flexible. I can't go for the because I'm on Chase's naughty list so I have to stick with American/US.

The wife and I scored 2 RT tickets from LAX to London then Paris to LAX next month for 80k AA miles + $20 in economy. Lots of open seats so far for stretching out. :yahoo:

On those long hauls we take an isle seat and the window seat in hopes that no one will want the middle seat so we have the row to ourselves. Otherwise, if it was a pretty full flight, we could just trade with the middle person and sit together. Thats how you make economy work if you want to use the least amount of miles.

Were thinking Japan next spring.

Both offers pop up for me on card match. In the mortgage process currently or I'd apply for my first Amex. Fico's 801 TU-758EX-754EQ

I was thinking people needed to be upwards of 750+ FICO to get it.

My scores are all between 760 & 780 and all I get is the Cap1, First PREMIER® or Simmons

Offer popped up for me last night. But it was on Amex's direct website.

I clicked on the link for the PRG - Noticed it was the $1,000/50,000. Verbiage said something like.. "Special offer, just for you. If you leave this page, this offer will go away."

Sure enough... I left the page and went back. The offer disappeared.

I got the PRG offer a few months ago. Also a BCP offer.

I did app for and received the PRG one. The BCP offer disappeared.

When I first got the PRG offer, I didn't app right away. The offer disappeared and didn't come back until I tried from a different computer (or cleared my cache or did something - I did report on it here, at the time).

Have not gotten anything other than CapOne and FP since then. And I do try a couple of times a month. Oh well. Glad I was able to get one good card out of it!

Oh .. and my EX was under 700 at the time. About 680ish, IIRC.

Stupid card match tool. I can't believe they would offer FP to anyone over 700. I guess they pay cardmatch a LOT to be at the top.
