I don't know a way (for free) to check my Equifax file but I doubt I have anything reporting there and I know DnB doesn't have anything but I do have some tradelines reporting to Experian.

Does anybody know any relatively accounts I can get that only check your experian file? Also I'm NOT looking to PG anything, and it would definitely help if they reported to all 3 as well.

I'm sure there's an answer to this already in the forums somewhere, I tried searching but couldn't find my answer. Thanks in advance, & I'll still be searching in the meatime.

As an analyst in the field, I can tell you the following: banks/finance companies pull consumer bureaus with the following logic:

If the bank is on the left coast, they'll pull experian

If the bank is in the midwest, they'll pull TU

If the bank is on the right coast, they'll pull Equifax

Not sure why this is. I was talking with another business analyst at the water cooler and they said that when the banks open their doors, they're solicited by the bureaus that report accurately in their region. That is, if a bank opens in Chicago, TU will contact them the quickest since that is where TU is located.

That's obviously a legend. There are Midwest-only regional banks that pull Equifax, for example. And any bank opening its doors has been on the radar of the credit bureaus long before it opens its doors. Indeed, to think that any bank would make a snap decision to use one credit bureau over other just because they got phone-called by an hour earlier is humorous.

Must be a thing of the past.
