I sent my letter to remove my old addresses to all three Credit Bureaus. I got a response from Experian today (Originally sent 12/27/14), and I thought. Great! I can do my disputes now.

Not so fast.

via letter today:

We store information as it sent to us by your credit grantors or from information contained in public records. One or more sources of information reported the address you questioned and it is a part of your credit history.

If you believe an address in your credit report is inaccurate, you may want to contact the source of the information directly. Please contact us by phone if you need additional assistance to determine the specific sources of particular address information on your credit report.

You will not receive this explanation again if you dispute this same item within the next 30 days.

Sincerely,

Experian

This was the body of my letter to experian:

Experian National Consumer Assistance Center

P.O. Box 4500

Allen, TX 75013

Dear Sir or Madam,

Enclosed is verification of my identity and the address information page from a recent credit report.

As of this month I have a fraud alert with all three major Credit Bureaus. It has not stopped some of the fraudulent activity on some of my bureau accounts.

I am requesting that all previous addresses be removed from my Credit Report.

My only address listing would be the current address (with verification enclosed)

All previous addresses are highlighted in orange and numbered on my report address information page.

I hope you have or had a great New Year!

Thank you for your time,

What should I do next? I got back a clean MIB report in the mail. I have the paper from transunion with all of my medical accounts showing removed, and I have an itemized statement from CA that I had to get in person from them. It has my first and last name spelled wrong. The address listed is the same as one of my previous addresses and the DOB matches from my report.

Should I send in evidence for a dispute. Or fight for address removal?

I called experian today. The number I used was 1-800-360-7580 prompt 2-1-2-1

It took me about 25 minutes to get a rep on the phone..

So I got going with the regurgitation of the info I got. I told the lady that I was concerned about fraud and was having problems with it, that I even have a fraud alert at all three boards.

She ended up deleting three addresses immediately. None of which were associated to the medical debt.

There are two variations of the medical debt address ID. I told her to google it. It actually shows up as a Little Ceasers Pizza place. (The whole strip mall it was in was torn down by developers a year ago)

I tried very hard to let her know that I had a cable and a lease showing that I did not live there. She would not do it.

Also in reference to the instructions on the 2nd call. I have an invoice from CA with a previous address on it that is not the Address ID on the credit report that I received from the CA. I figured that would work as updated address.

She ended up starting another dispute. I tried to tell her that I did not have all of my documents together and I could not upload them. Didn't work she started a fraud dispute and wants me to go the local police department

to do the FTC affidavit. I did the standard one without law enforcement online. This one is different. I printed it out on my special blue paper. It asks for a badge number and report number and officer signature.

Questions....

1. The "crime" statute of limitations is up. So going to the police is a waste of time. Should I just check that box "not reported" and upload it?

2. The medical debt was assigned to a name variation and a SS number that I had gotten removed by experian already.

Do I have any hope at this new dispute?

I called again the number listed above. I got someone on the phone immediately and got the rest of my address deleted. Except for my current one and the one in the negative tradeline.

Not sure about what to do next. Help anyone?

Alright thanks,

I went and reviewed my new exp report this morning after the second call back to get more addresses removed. They deleted every address except my current one. I am feeling pretty good about it. All of the name, social security and address variations from the original creditor are GONE.

Even the hard pulls from CA that were on the report yesterday are GONE.

The dispute was started Monday by the EXP rep. (i did not ask them to do this) It is not the "why chat" special blue paper handwriting dispute. I just hope it works. I was going to mail them supporting information. I think I am just going to let it ride as it is.

To my surprise it was pretty simple to call in and get all of my names, SS and address cleaned up. I was denied quickly by mail.

Well, I said " fraud" as in address listed was fraud. Instead of " Concerned about fraud" like I was supposed too.

The addresses are all removed on my updated ex report. The hard pulls associated with CA at those addresses are gone.

The woman on the phone removed all of my addresses. But she also started a dispute of the medical debt. Before I could mail in the the proper why chat written dispute.

OK you need to to go to the medical forum. There is nothing else that we can do in this thread. WhyChat, and only WhyChat, knows what to do next. Give a summary of your situation and post a link to this thread and ask for his help. Good Luck!
