so.... I need some SUB starting around 4/18... So far the usual suspects are ho-hum or cards I already have. Perhaps I need to branch out to biz cards?

also looking at Aspire FCU World Mastercard

Arival barclaycard

and Citi Prestige (scratch prestige as there is some weird rule about having another TYP card)

but none of these are more than ho-hum SUB

Did I miss something about this turd? At 1point:$0.01, that's a $250 SUB. I hope you don't app turds for $250?

Any tricks to get from Las Vegas to Boston with either Ur or Amex points?

One-way is pricing at $114 consistently. I'd pay cash.

What is one-way? do you have web adress?

I'm talking about one-way flights. You asked about getting from Las Vegas to Boston, so I assumed you weren't talking about a roundtrip.

American Airlines has LAS-BOS for $114 on several days in April and May. I wouldn't bother transferring points to an airline mileage program to do a 12,500-mile redemption when I could just pay a little over a hundred dollars and be done.

I'd guess that JetBlue has some good BOS-LAS pricing when they have their sales, and that would be a direct flight.

Spirit also probably has some good BOS-LAS pricing during sales for those who are good with slumming it.

If you haven't applied for a WF card in 16 months, then that's a great choice.

AMEX has an SPG Biz 35K offer.

Chase has the Ink Preferred or Reserve or whatever it is.

Barclays has the B6 Biz card.

Citi has the AA Biz card.

BofA has the Alaska Biz card.

The Ink Preferred would be a good choice and then PC to the Ink Cash for the long term.

Freedom Unlimited would work better for your spending.

already have plenty of 1.5% cards that sit in my sockdrawer.

This is a 1.5x card, not 1.5%.

If you have a C$R, that makes all purchases worth a minimum of 2.25%.

forgot that. Thanks

I finally may have come up with a general plan... what do you guys think of this as far as non-SUB-chasing times of the year:

primary cards - CSP/R (R once I either can app for it outside of 5/24 or upgrade to it) for dining and non-flight travel, Freedom for quarterly categories, Freedom Unlimited for non-category spend, and Amex Plat for flights, Everyday Preferred for gas/groceries and some misc non-category spend (probably 50 cent Amazon gift card reloads) to hit point bonus.

I figured this way I can use UR to book Delta flights through Korean Air for cheap, and MR to book Korean Air flights through Delta for cheap, in addition to being able to pool points if desired for SPG or Marriott stays.

Thoughts?

Anyone been to Panama City, Panama? Anyone ever flown COPA?

Flights from LAX to PTY are $400 in ghetto. Use some SPG points at a Sheraton.

No one's flown COPA? No one's been to PTY?

COPA is a fine 3rd world airline if you're sitting up front it is almost as good as domestic US F on the big 3 (which is not saying a whole lot). PTY is great for a weekend but boring after day 3.

Thread necromancy is one thing ... but how in the hell did you decide to dive down to a 2015 query from the middle of this thread in order to pop a reply out now?  At least tell us that you're wearing a hard hat for this archeological dig ..

So, who is churning the Ink Unlimited and Cash cards? Does not get much better than 90k for 6k spend. Add another 20k if a family member can refer you.

Now says offer ending soon. Get them while you can. Many reports of approvals even if you are over 5/24. You can have two of the same card also.
