Wife: Everyday Preferred 16.5k (looking forward to pushing that 3x CLI) I vow we will not falter, we shall not go for less, we shall not play it safe, we shall not live in fear. Start the 61 day clock.

Me: picked up a fresh Greenie just for the 1989ness.

 

Your DW did great with the starting limit, Congrats! :clapping:

 

When you say "we shall not fear".....do you mean to the potential of a FR or tax info request if the CLI is over $25K? My DW recently got a CLI to $28K with Amex, no requests but we would have just submitted the info.

 

Good job on your Amex! 1989 is a good year!! :good:

Mine went from 150 to 900 to 3500 within 6 months. Charge the hell out of it and PIF. 900 was auto within 2or 3 months and 3500 on sixth statement via chat , I requested 5000 granted my TU was mid 60

2 for 1 Amex today for my wife.

 

Everygay and PRG.

 

thawed EX to make it easier.

 

instant on Everygay, only 5k limit, but that's the same thing they did to her on the Delta Plat last year.

 

can't really complain as she has 50k in revolving exposure with them now plus the charge cards.

 

PRG is still pending for some reason, will have to call tomorrow, I guess.

 

Congrats on her EDC! :clapping:

Yep, exactly right. I see so many posts of people not taking advantage of the 3x due to the 25k myth.

I got 10k last June, 3x to $30k, not a peep. I agree with you, if they ask I'll give it, not a big deal. I'm asking them for something no other lender is willing to give at 61 days.

 

If a new credit card company offered:

A compelling rewards structure

Multiple card offerings

Generous CLI's

Good sign up bonuses

Backdating

And they announced that they require tax info to process the application, best believe the IRS would see a surge of tax transcript requests.

Just called the Synchrony UW backdoor to see if something could be done with that puny $250 Paypal MC. Well she did something about it alright - bumped it up to $25K!

 

Revolving TL total is now $185K

 

100x CLI! :clapping:

 

I really expected to see a counter of somewhere in the $5K to $10K range since a] I haven't used the card in ages (with such a useless limit who would?) and b] it got balance chased back in the credit crunch mayhem of 2009/2010
