moving debt from a to b

doesn't lower your util.

If total credit limit increased, isn't that lower uti? Also, card that was >90% to new cards that are 60% is an improvement no?

Also, 0% rates help payments eat more principal dropping uti faster

Another BOA Cash Rewards CLI

12.5k -> 22.5k

HP on TU

Got me to my goal of >100k available credit on 5 cards.

just got there myself, Nirvana... but some of it is secured and some of it is AU so it doesn't really count.

glad to know about BofA CLI's... didn't know. Is there a time limit involved??

I'm not aware of any time limits; I've had three CLIs from them over the past two years, spaced about six months apart by coincidence. I just know it'll be a HP every time. Not bad for a card that started as a $700 student card back in 2007.

I'd wait 6 months between requests

Even though it's always a HP

4 months can be enough with BofA if they like you.

And the HP on TU is like a SP.

Analyst would only do $5k for my DW on approval. Requested online before the 1st statement cut and it went to $10k.

Approved for Amex SPG.

Only $4k limit so I'll be looking forward to day 61. Still happy for the *d though and 25k SPG points.

Do you mean change of address with USPS? The card shouldn't forward.

They forwarded my Barclays US Airways card. Worst case scenario, I can ask my grandmother to pick it up and forward it to me herself - she lives near my house in Florida, and has a copy of my mailbox key.

just found my next house purchase!

Houses are relatively cheap, the weather is great, and the income tax rate for anyone moving to the island is ridiculously low!

You just have to deal with ridiculously expensive utilities, 10-40% import tax on all motor vehicles, a pretty high violent crime rate, and a DMV that makes all US DMV's seem like the model of efficiency.

The petty theft was crazy high.

My DW and I were in Vieques last year and some fine gentleman decided he needed our rental Jeeps battery more than us while we were out.

Did end up getting a ride in the cop car home though so that was a plus

Hello, is this where we post our credit approvals?

I just got approved for an unsecured Capital One Platinum with a $500 credit limit and it was sheer dumb luck.

I've been reading these boards for 2 months in preparation for starting Why Chats medical collections process, but I haven't actually started cleaning anything yet. My reports are downright filthy. 5 judgments, 6 medical collections, 5 plus regular collections, 6 charge offs, and a host of late pays. My mortgage was 30 or more days late for the entire 2013 and half of 2014.

The only positive I have going for me is the length of credit history (even though it's mostly bad) and a secured credit card I got from my local credit union 2.5 years ago. Even though my life was going to hell in a hand basket at the time I held onto that card bc I knew it was the only way I'd be able to rent a car when I needed to. When I opened the account in person, the lady at the credit union warned me that if I even had one late payment they'd close it. So that had a perfect payment history and my mortgage had 6 months of on time payments.

Cap1 sent a pre-approved offer and I figured since I was opting out it might be the last one I'd see in a while. Also I figured the inquiry couldn't hurt with my scores so low. So I went for it and almost fell off my chair when I saw the approval.

I'm so excited to have another trade line to age on my report while I spend the next couple of year digging out of my mess.

My experience fico was 583 and my TU fako was 544. I don't have any idea what equifax was.

Amex PRG approved

and I got the 50k point, $1k spend offer too

will you please give me that link? that might be better than a costco for me...

what is the max number of Amex cards?

You can have 4 revolvers. I forgot about the number of charge cards though.

Nice little grab there.

Thank you! This website has been extremely valuable in all the things I've learned here over the past several months. I wouldn't have even known about the 80k point link had I not been reading this place in the first place.

:good:

I'm more envious of the 50k MR points.

But I am eyeing the Surpass as well, with the 80k offer .
