Also if you register too many accounts quick succession from same IP they will start asking for SMS verification. You migh take it a little slow or switch browsers/IPs if you have a bunch of Amex cards. YMMV.

That reminds me... before I created my second Twitter account I removed my mobile phone number from the first one, re-used the mobile number on the second account, removed the mobile number from the second account before creating the third, etc.

Most of the things I want off Google Play are around $0.99. Anyone know if it is possible to gift yourself $5 credit or any recommendations of something worth buying that is around $5?

I meant to mention, you can simply buy $5 in credit. That's what I did.

Did you get the confirmation email?

I haven't spent $0.99 on Google Play. Ever.

What do you buy on Google play?

For most people, the money they spend on Google Play is their alternative to putting money into an emergency fund or a retirement account.

These are among the smallest iterations of the impulses that many people cannot control.

I don't know if you think I blow my whole paycheck on freemium games or something, I just want to use this $5 credit for something so I figured I could get some games or something for the tablet, but most of those I have seen are sub $5 purchases. I already have all the movies and music I want for free. On my personal phone the only "appstore" I have is fdroid. Giving Google root access to my phone is rather unappealing to me.

I don't care what you do with your money. Besides, I was speaking about people in general.

I just did one of my Amex $200 GC offers.

I tried to go through ebates for 1%, but I don't know if I will get that 1%. I used the FPGRAD to get free processing, but for free shipping I needed the free 90 day premium shipping trial. They won't let you sign up for said trial unless you buy a personalized GC. So i had to click out of the window ebates brought me too. But for my other 2 I'll already have the trial.

So, $10 for the offer, $2 from 1% BCP cash back, and perhaps another $2 from ebates. No good way to liquidate them except through normal spend, but that's fine.

For what it's worth, I already had $27 sitting in my google play account I haven't been compelled to use, but I went ahead and took the free $5 anyway. The credit hasn't posted yet though.

I think I'm probably going to use my google play monies on a few months of Google Play All Access service. I enjoyed the free trial of it but didn't use the premium features enough to warrant keeping it. I've been holding off thinking maybe at some point there would be apps I'd want to buy, but nearly everything has a free version that suffices for me.

Finally got my $5 reimbursement for Google Play :)

Managed to get my $100 AA email gift card and it was reimbursed within a few days, pretty cool. Probably going to wind up selling it, no plans to fly anytime soon and I'm worried I'd forget about it eventually.

Got the $200 Amex GC reimbursement and ebates came through, so the $200 GC cost me $186, not bad. Found codes to allow me to do it again before the end of July with my other 2 cards. I was a little miffed the UPS guy knocked and slipped the envelope under the mat within 10 seconds, not sure I want to take the risk to get another and have it lost or stolen.

Got $10 off of $25+ at Carrabba's, definitely will use that. Not sure if it's targeted or able to be synced, haven't checked.

Google Play makes so much more sense to me now that I've gone in and tried to find WhatsApp.

I've already turned my Blackberry Messenger into a gold mine.

This looks like a good offer if you can buy gift cards at Target and/or W*****t.

I had this offer on my SPG. I haven't checked Twitter to see if you can add it to one or more Amices that way.

Ripped this from fatwallet, hadn't seen it mentioned here -

Amex is rolling out a paypal competitor and for a limited time is offering a $10 statement credit per retailer when you use Amex Express Checkout at checkout to pay with your American Express card.
Expires 9/7/2015.

There is no mention of a minimum purchase price.
LINK: https://www.americanexpress.com/us/content/express-checkout/

List of retailers:

Ticketmaster

BarkBox

Ledbury

Warby Parker

Burberry

Newegg

Sabon

The wall street journal

WSJ Wine

It may be possible to earn the credit with multiple cards per retailer, so long as you use a different Amex login for each card... some people do this anyway for ease of adding Amex Offers. I'm not inclined to split mine into different logins at this time but I'll definitely get something at Newegg with this.

Wow. I got one on my PRG today for Quantas. Spend $2K, get a $400 statement credit.

Wonder if they sell $2000 gift cards?

There's a sync for it too. #AmexQantas

I cannot get the Walmart/Target offers, but I have the Quantas on 7 different cards :(

I went into a W*****t on a Bluebird mission the other day and checked out their gift card section. Mainly Google Play, iTunes and sh!tty chain restaurants. Like I'm dying to go Chili's for a discounted Triple Dipper.
