Maybe it's you.  :)

Apparently I'm sitting in the corner with DPB... 9 days and counting. (I do currently have a $0 balance on the card, so maybe they're waiting for the card to have a balance before posting the credit?)

Well...

I based my answer on how quickly the Shop With Saks credit on my Platinum posted.

Looking at more recent offers I've used (that actually are Amex Offers), it looks like I'm still waiting for two dining credits ($5 / $10 on my Hilton / Vonboy cards).  I made the qualifying charges on 2/8 and 2/11, respectively.

I just checked my account and credits are posting anywhere from four to fourteen days after the transaction post date.
The PayPal credits on my platinum cards and the Dell credit on my business platinum are delayed too.
But so far, everything has eventually posted correctly.

Ah, finally. $70 back yesterday on Feb 8 and Feb 19 charges. Only $480 more to go to break even, lol!!

Seriously, though, thanks for this thread. I never really looked into the benefits once all my travel screeched to a halt.

And...  the $5 credit posted to my Hilton card, but not before the statement closed with a $5 balance.  😐

Still waiting for the $10 credit on my Vonboy.

$10 credit posted to Vonboy (showed up this morning, but shows a posting date of 2/22).  Qualifying purchase was made on 2/11.

Not sure if this is universal or just my local area, but I am seeing an offer in the Starbucks app of 100 bonus stars when you reload a Sbux card using PayPal. On my Sbux app it’s showing the offer as valid through 3/9/21, so I’ll wait till next month since I’ve maxed my Amex PayPal credit for this month already. Figured I’d pass it along for anyone interested.

I found this page by accident this morning.  Looks like you can add some offers to a specific Amex, the way you used to be able to do with Twitter and other platforms.

https://www.americanexpress.com/us/network/shopping.html#shopping

These look like the type of offers I already have on most of my Amices, but I'll still check from time to time to see if there's anything worthwhile.

My default coffee for brewing at home is Prince & Spring (house brand) ground* French roast from Boxed.com.

I needed to restock, so timing was good for a $20 back on $100 offer, and P&S products are also 15% off this week (10% sitewide isn't uncommon at Boxed).

I also ordered some paper towels, which after the Amex Offer were priced comparably to what I'd find at Target, but the coffee portion worked out as follows:

$97.90 - Ten 2 packs of 10-ounce ground French roast (12.5#)

(14.67) - P&S coupon code

$83.23 - coffee portion of order

(16.65) - 20% back on this portion of the order from Amex Offer

$66.58

No tax (and shipping was included), so my net cost for the coffee is $5.33 a pound.

* Grinding coffee is way too messy.

Uber Eats:

28.00 - 20" pizza with 138 toppings

  4.20 -  service fee

  0.49 -  delivery fee

 (1.00)-  no-rush delivery promo

(7.00)-  promo code from recent UE email

(15.00)- Amex Platinum credit

  9.69

+ tax and tip

And then 9x MR (Amex Offer for Uber Eats) on final the price (worth another ~$1.50).

No Eats Pass? It’s free for a year with the Platinum. Would’ve saved you an additional dollar or so.

After 12 months with the Eats Pass, I just got a notice that the $9.99 monthly fee is kicking in next month.

$10 a month to "save" 5% on orders over $15.    That's where the PASS in "Eats Pass" came from.

Yes, I know, "free delivery," but they still charge the Service Charge, which is in the $5/order range by the look of the last couple of receipts.

I only use Uber Eats when I have to burn my $15 Uber credit from my Platinum and don't foresee using Uber for a ride before the end of the month.

I'm going to kill this while I'm out tomorrow.

Whatever I don't spend on what's on the grocery list I'll top off with Netflix gift cards.  I hate going to Kroger.

Last month I got an offer on my Gold for $10 back on grocery spend off $200 or more in single purchase for 3 months. Last month I got some hotels dot com and Amtrak gift cards. Will do that again tomorrow and then again in December. Not the most lucrative offer, but what the hell.

Ive also got a 5x bonus on my ED card for Amazon until the end of the year.

I need to go through all of the offers more thoroughly.  I noticed this one by accident.  :)

I'm really annoyed at how many offers there are, mostly because 91.77% of them are irrelevant (I'm sure the rest of you buy a lot more luxury Swiss swimwear than we do).  Sifting through all of the offers is a real chore.

This annoyance is multiplied if you have several Amices.

Last I understood, each unique merchant offer is available once per SSN (vs. once per Amex card or once per login).

So I just went into my Blue Sky account and added all of the garbage offers on that card, and then went to my EveryDay (second-least-used Amex) and added more to it.

For right now, that's made it more manageable to find relevant offers on the Amices I actually use.

Time will tell if I have the patience to maintain this, but it is a mindless way to move time along while waiting on hold.  😛

Also, if you're doing this on the Amex web site, the way the offers load when you click "Add to Card," it's faster and easier to start at the bottom of the offers list than the top (this requires a lot less scrolling).

One would think, that with all the data they see on what we actually spend money on, the offers would be more centric to that. Not sure how they correlate giving me a Montblanc offer when they see charges for Waffle House. I guess hope springs eternal.

Bank of America purposely designed a feature that allows me to hide the offers that don't interest me.  That's a nice convenience, and it works much better than my exhausting Amex workaround.

On the other hand, most of Bank of America's offers suck.

10% back on Lyft!  :yahoo:  Max $3.  🖕

When I look over those offers my impression is Amex thinks it is psychologically convincing the customer to feel that having an Amex card is exclusive to the well heeled.

Amex Offers aren't a tongue bath for cardholders to make them feel affluent, it's where those merchants have chosen to spend their marketing dollars to reach the audience they're targeting.

I never get Bulgari offers from US Bank, and my Altitude card is made out of metal.

I was able to use all of this year's $10/month (Vonboy) and $5/month (Hilton) dining credits, but I'm relieved that I now have two fewer things to track every month and I can start ignoring those two Amices again.  😛
