Konrad2012
That's crazy...oil companies are usually way more competitive than that disparity. I bought Shell regular for 2.79 at Fashion Island. I've seen it for 2.49 at Arco. I would have had to drive out of my way several miles and paid debit. For the loss in mileage/time I wouldn't waste my time for 13 gallons. That 5.99 diesel is the highest I've ever seen. Only in America is diesel more expensive than regular...let alone premium. And its the reason we don't see the awesome 1.6L to 2.0L diesel motors from Germany and Japan. There's a Shell about 3 miles from that one that we got gas for $2.61 For 0.18 / gallon I won't drive even 2 miles out of my way. I put 10-12 gallons in my tank usually... Konrad2012
OP, sorry to continue off topic. I paid $1.83 for regular unleaded here in the warm and rainy Midwest yesterday. Come on brother..this is my thread. I start them either to ask questions or post stuff I think can help people out. But they are fair game to poach, thread crap, post pictures of chicks etc.

Konrad2012
HL...please know the whore you have caused me. I typed some key phrases into Google images in an attempt to come up with a demented MyLittlePony image to post for you. Little did I know that there are MUCH MUCH sicker people than me in the world. MyLittlePony has been defamed and deflowered. And other non-animated pony and horse pictures that are even more disturbing. The world is a sick cruel horrible place. almostanonymous
I check these every so often and have yet to find a single offer I could use. I would find myself just buying stuff to get the deal. I am happy ? to announce that my car won't even hold $30 in gas these days + Shell is expensive (at least around here). This was last week, on the same day and across the street from each other: This same thing exists in Chicago. The same owner owns both stations so he's directing business to his regular priced station and if anybody is stupid enough to get gouged then he makes extra $ off it. JeffeVerde
I'd tell you to check out the Paul Martin's, but I don't think they've made it to SD yet. Paul Martin's is Paul Martin Fleming, the guy who started Fleming's Steakhouse, but he cannot use his last name anymore. Great food, great wine list, great happy hour Not in SD, but if you ever venture into Orange County, there's one in the Spectrum in Irvine. And I concur with Konrad - excellent steak house! I'm probably going to the spectrum tonight to use the $25 statement credit deal. Flemings has a deal until Dec 31st also (not thru Amex). But a $100 gift card, get a $20 gift card thrown in. Going to scoop up several of those deals
cv91915
I like Cowboy Star in San Diego more than any of the chains. I'd also hit Rei Do Gado long before Fleming's or Ruth's Chris.
Konrad2012
I really like the French Laundry but it's a long drive from Newport Beach to Yountville. I used to also really like Cyrus, the French Laundry spinoff in Healdsburg, before all the guys got in a squeezing a lemon match and it closed. Bohanons in San Antonio is pretty tasty. Scoma's in Fishermans Wharf in San Fran is a serious tourist trap, but their lazy mans ciopinno is second to none. My high school buddy was hired as a bartender at Flemings (the original Flemings) when it opened in 1998. He still runs the bar. It's my local watering hole, 2 miles from my house. I eat the $6 happy hour burger at least once a week when I'm in the States...and wash it down with Caymus, Nickel Nickel, Honig or if I feel like saying Freedom Unlimited©£ it a bottle of Far Niente. When I got home from China in Dec I went to Flemings and had a bottle of Screaming Eagle on Dec 13th, by myself. shifter
personally for my money I prefer a Bordeaux like Chateau Cheval Blanc or you can't beat La Tache for something softer. if I want a new world flavor, I go with Harlan. SE is just too overpriced IMO.
JayB27
I just got a credit for Small Business Saturday, for $10. I know this was awhile ago, and if I remember right, the Small Business they had listed that I was going to use, didn't accept Amex. Regardless, its a bit late. Have to disagree with you both. Went to the PM in the spectrum a few months ago. Service was painfully slow, and first time steaks came out they were way overcooked (ordered MR got MW)...wouldn't go back there again, even with the AMEX discount. Went to Donovan's in La Jolla last week (they just moved locations)...excellent service and an excellent meal, would definitely go again if I was in the area. On the original topic, they have an offer that if you pay $75 on your cell bill, you get a $10 credit, up to 3 times (meaning you get $30 off $225 plus the 1% regular CB or 14.3% CB)...which is incentive enough for me to not use my Ink card for the 5X UR points for 1 month. That's the problem with the restaurant biz...fugg it up once and lost that customer forever. I just saw the phone bill deal myself. Hoping this offer is available on the biz Pt also...I only saw personal cards listed in the article I read. Don't forget about the trick of having multiple cards pulled up in multiple browsers before you accept the offer, you might be able to double dip that depending on your lineup. Remember to register multiple cards. Doesn't even have to be the twitter offer. This is just online on all my cards now. I've never shopped at Sam's Club, but I'm going to go online right now and just buy $20 worth of crap on all my AMEX cards.
Cactus Flower
Diesel is $2.50 where I live, cheaper than gas at $2.60-depends on where you live I guess.
Konrad2012
One of my business Pt cards also has a $20 statement credit for a $20 or greater purchase at Amazon. Only good for items purchase through Amazon.com, not using the checkout by Amazon feature. Getting my moneys worth out of the AF's today. That's $80 back from Smart and Final purchases, $80 back from Sam's Club purchases, and $20 from Amazon. That covers the PRG AF.
Rebuilding2010
How'd you get $80 from S&F? It was in increments of
Konrad2012
Because I shouldn't type while I am trying to test electronics. I have $225 in statement credit coming from Smart and Final purchases. $80 in statement credit coming from Sam's Club purchases. $20 in statement credit from Amazon purchases. I also recently received a $200 statement credit from AA gift card purchases on one of my Biz Pt's. So $525 in the past 1.5 months.
