Anyone know much about Suntrust credit cards?

I have an old student loan backed by them but that's my only experience with Suntrust.

Doesn't look like anything too exciting but not too bad either. Not much of anything in credit pulls.

Anyone want to be a GP for one?

The cash back card is 2% up to $6k on gas and grocery then goes to 1%.

If you are looking for a secured card you may want to consider the following card:

Suntrust Secured Cash Rewards

https://www.suntrust.com/PersonalBanking/EverydayBanking/CreditCards/BuildCredit

This card might be attractive to rebuilders. It offers a credit limit that you can pay up to once you're approved (approval amount will vary) OR you can just start with a minimum of $300. I don't think you can deposit more than the credit limit they assign you until you have some history and get approved for a higher amount. I don't beileve it graduates but I imagine with good history and use you may be approved for a unsecured card.

It has an AF of $32 HOWEVER it's also a cash back card that has the same 2% on gas and grocery up to $6k and then goes to 1%. This could easily cover your fee or even make you a little $$.

You can get a 10% bonus if you deposit your cash rewards into a Suntrust checking, savings, or MM account.

I don't have any info on how easy/hard it is to get approved.

You can't apply online, you have to call, but if approved you will have an online account.

I know about Suntrust because I grew up in Orlando but I haven't really used them before.

I've had the card sine 2012. I've been banking with Suntrust since 1997 so I'm a loyal customer but I am not impressed with the card. Limit started and has stayed at 1500...my average limit is around 10-11000. My interest rate is 16.99%, of course YMMV. CLI require a hard pull on Ex. Never received an automatic CLI. I personally would not recommend this card to ANYONE.

Thanks for sharing. Did you get that card before you had the higher limits?

I'm assuming you are talking about the unsecured card...

Yes I did get it when my scores and average limit was much lower but they have not showed me any love since my averages and score has increased. Which has been about a year and a half

I'm leaving Suntrust after 20 years! Checking, savings and money market, gone! I'm going all in with NFCU! Suntrust sucks and even when I was prime I could not get jack from them!

Going Friday to close out!

Moving to NFCU is probably a good move from many financial institutions.
