I paid Cap 1 down to "0" today, will this update on CR before billing date

When you say your billing date, I assume you mean your due date..

 

 

Usually a creditor will report right after your closing date, which in most cases is a few days after your due date.

 

Usually Experian reports first, followed by EQ and TU...

 

 

If this is your only other card in your profile, I wouldn't suggest you keeping a $0 balance to let it report. Pay it in full and then charge $2 to it and let it report like that...

Call the credit card company and find out what date your statement cuts. They generally report to the CRAs within a week of your statement date. although there are mid cycle reporters and a few odd balls that don't follow this rule. So if you want to show a zero balance you have to pay in full a few days prior to the day your statement cuts.

Cap1 has always reported the statement balance for me, so I doubt it will get updated early.
