i hear all these stories on here about our consumer rights being constantly violated. Does the CFPB ever fine the violating agency? It sounds like they just make the CRA fix the problem. I know it is a pain in the @ss, but does anyone ever file suit against the CRA's. I just hate all this crap happening and nobody being held accountable for their actions.

I did, I did! Years ago and they ended up deleting everything I wanted in order to settle. Experian, bad marigolds lol

That's all I wanted. I filed in Superior court. They removed it to Federal court which meant if I wanted to continue and try for money, I needed an atty. All I wanted in the first place was items that belonged to someone with the same name in my city, removed from my report. One CA asked if my wifes name was xx. I told him I'm not married. He asked when did I live at xx address. I never did. They still refused to remove it. I had sent proof to Exp but they went with the furnisher of info and refused to delete it. Lawsuit filed.

They all are, but EX is by far the worst, IMO.

Speaking of which, most of you here now don't know about the letter TU sent me about 12 years ago threatening to sue me. lol

This board seems... a collection of extremes. Perhaps there is strength in the fight.. to win the battles, AND war..

If you would share? Inquiring minds want to know!

I could recount what EQ did to me in 2011, but I would need to be on a computer. They created an error where there was none...

UPDATE!!!

For some strange reason when I e-mailed the VP of client relations and explained the entire situation and attached my proof.....it just went away like that. Hmmm??

Never send them anything.

You likely cemented it to your reports.

Nice, glad I was wrong, and have no problem admitting it.

Great thread so far. It's nice to see that the CRAs haven't changed.

Wow! 47 pages of "I can't believe I used to think TU was the nice CRA!!!"

Eye opening. They are all the devil. Maybe the worst devil is the one you never thought was evil.

I'm only a few pages in, and just wow...

Wow, it's like watching the very first episode of "creditboards"

Yeah. I just finished the thread and now I'm wondering when the coup happened.

Is there a thread full of pre-CB coup stick banging?
