I had a judgment vacated and the negative trade line associated with the judgment across all 3 credit bureaus deleted. But OH NO! NOT EQUIFAX!! Even after sending them the court stamped dismissal. And wait! That's not the kicker. The Equifax representative calls me and tells me that just because the court dismissed the judgment (vacated) that Equifax is not obliged to delete from my credit profile. And then she told me that she spoke with the attorney of the original creditor and was told that they had no intentions of deleting the tradelines or vacating the judgment EVEN THOUGH it was already done! I swear I couldn't make this up if I tried. This was some Twilight Zone sh*t!

I seriously doubt she talked to the attorney.

I would dispute again, with notes from a phone call from the rep and ask which part of the FCRA allows them to report inaccurate information??

Jen... I KNOW she didn't talk to the attorney! The attorney told me the Equifax lady was very misinformed. I should have mentioned that in the original post but I'm trying to tell everyone that I KNOW EQUIFAX IS LYING!! I MEAN LITERALLY BOLD FACE LYING!?

Never send them anything.

You likely cemented it to your reports.

They are terrible. I just got the initial response back from CFPB complaint, following the HIPPA process for a medical collection. Basically they said they would reopen an investigation but they would not post anything further through the CFPB portal because my verbiage sounded very very similar to a credit repair agency, you know, to protect my privacy. Asshats.

I got mine deleted by sending the original court document along with the envelope it came in, a letter explaining that a vacated judgment means it never existed, and cc'd an attorney (a friend). They deleted it. This is just some jerk giving you a hard time. Sending proof of a vacated judgment can get it cemented if you let it, but generally speaking, it doesn't matter. You sent them proof that in the eyes of the court, the judgment did not exist.

I sued someone, and won, and Equifax entered it as a judgment against me. They are total salamanders. If the average person only knew....

Thanks to CB I am no longer average. That pretty much goes for everyone here!

I  this place! Thanks mom for this avenue of credit education.
