Oh man. That's the newest FC. Mortgages satisfied in a month. One after the other.

I feel like this perfectly encapsulates my feelings about the premise of this thread.

I live in the south not sure how "deep" south you are talking about but $25,000 would get a motel not hotel for about 3 months. Several things come to mind for me:

1: your income is low enough to get WIC

2: $60 is a burden for you

3: you are wanting a junky fixer upper with hopes of making it good

4: you need to get help from parents for down payment

These are ALL huge red flags that you are NOT mortgage ready.

You never stated income but for a family of 3 to get WIC you must make less than $36.000 a year. How will you pay for unexpected expenses? Hot water heater, AC unit etc.

Where is your emergency savings?

 

And as far as lawsuits I have filed (Pro Se) 15 lawsuits between hubby and I combined. They have all settled out of court and 11 of the 15 came with nice checks, but I had my ducks in a row and the attorney for the defendant knew I had ammo and rapidly agreed to settling with us/me.
