I've been in the garden since November, with a brief exit to app for a second US Air. I'm BORED but I very much need some account age. I can't even ask for CLI's since I did it last month.

How are you guys staying pure? I'm trying to distract myself with travel rewards and learning the miles game...but I got an itchy finger.

I'm not sure how you can say you've been gardening since November with an app in there.

You garden when you get to the point that you have all the best rewards cards for your goals and you are on the lookout for exceptional signup bonuses only.

You noticed that little inconsistency in my narrative? Barclay needed my attention.

Damn it...its FARMING!!!!!!!

I forgot - sorry.

Let me give an example of forced gardening.

I would love to add a CSP right now, but since I didn't research well enough, and added cards I really didn't have a huge need for , I have a Marriott Rewards card that is holding me back from the one I really want.

So with a 779 TU Score, and a TU Pull, I am having difficulty in adding a card I want.

This is where my research comes in, or should've.

Research and strategy are what I need now. I envision getting an Amex and a Chase next year and I want to do everything I can this year to make that happen. With a BK on board that won't be easy.

I feel silly typing out "gardening," just like "baddies."

Yes, "baddies" makes me cringe.

I just plain HATE Gardening, I have never even done it.

That sounds like it would accompany a pony pic quite well, but omg...barf!

Farmers plant fields of cover crops and nitrogen affixing crops merely to till them over for the following seasons plantings.

Gardeners just sit around with pruning shears waiting for something to happen while sipping tea.

Farming implies constant work and dedication

Gardening implies complacency

the only cure is app too much and start getting declines.that will turn you into Ol' MacDonald in no time.

Old McD had a farm, not a garden. Mary Mary Quite Contrary had a garden

It is time to farm - combining limits, working on CLI's and planting the seeds(researching) for the next app spree. This Mary is going to be a fierce farmer. If I don't die of boredom first!

I thought it went

Old MacDonald had a garden,

D* B* D* B* C*.

:dntknw:

Don't know...I.caught herpes C* and didn't even break the rules :(

And lately my farming has been D* D* D* D*. I usually detest repetition...but I'm just saying...

Lets change the term for the time between app'ing.

For me, it is now called Farming ®

MODS, Trevor, please change thread title to reflect the new term.
