When focusing on the credit journey, even on farming times, I always remember a quote from Terry Goodkind, that I had engraved on a pendant once upon a moon....It is much how I tend to view anything that I choose to engage in. Once you're in - BE in, and give your all.

I'm farming because these aren't any cards I want to get. At the end of my June/July application set I tried for a WellsFargo Propel World, denied (probably need to open a checking account), and tried for a "no 24 months language" Citi AA card, but the promo code wouldn't go through.

 

No harm in letting things age and all before adding more accounts...

You are correct. However, a United Business card and a Hyatt card both are looking like keepers to me, and I think I have a shot at both if I restrict myself to business cards only for 6 more months.

 

Perhaps I should grudge app the Marriott business card this month.

 

edit> I guess the Hyatt card isn't the issue (as it's not 5/24) so it's just the United card.
