Actually we do issue a real visa card in store if you are approved for an account. The only exception would be some of our newer outpost stores.

My guess it's like one of the Walgreens prepaid cards. It's an almost real looking card that works and swipes, but they send you one in the mail that has your name imprinted on it.

Completed the App in store in Buffalo today - approved instantly for $ 10000 - card issued immediately - permanent - embossed card. Also got a free hat - and scored $ 25 off first purchase - and $ 10 off with text sign up - so it was like getting my Snowshoes at 25%.

 

I know there will be the deer pee jokes - but what an incredible experience, quick, easy, professional - I said best in store sign up since I did Nordstrom!

Cabelas is its own bank, watch out, they don't like heavy usage or having too many cards. I was shut down with their signature card, 20k limit, never late, never carried a balance. They told me that I had too much available credit and that I didn't need their card...
