Question for Marv regarding finance app

Hi Marv,

 

Marv Question because your the only one that came to mind while i been car shopping recently. i recently applied and was approved by nfcu for 56k over 6 months at 4% but the car is really for my soon to be wife. and insurance has been under her name for the longest.

 

so question is would i be able to proceed to finance and insure and register under my wife, using NFCU ?

I'm not Marv but NFCU will require that the Registered Owner be the one on the loan

You could potentially co-sign if she doesn't qualify by herself. You should sign first because that usually gets better loan terms. You will be equal owners in either case, and either one can register and insure.

 

Avoid getting into co-signed situations wherever possible though.

Have you told your prospective lender, that the vehicle is for the use of another person?

Hi everyone thank you for the responses and help. @Marv i originally did not, but when i called in they simply talked around my question and just replied they have to just be listed on the title.
