Has anyone yet applied for the BJ's Perks MasterCard from Comenity?

You need to be a member of BJ's wholesale club (locations mainly in the Northeast section of USA)

I'm curious as to the credit bureau pulled and the credit lines being assigned on the consumer card.

Apply online at: https://www.bjs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CobrandedPerk?storeId=10201

I decided to call and get the facts from Comenity. They pull either TU or EQ, I asked if one is locked, will they pull the other, the rep said yes (hint: TU) I also asked how high of a credit line will they assign, she said depending on the credit, she has so far seen a high of $33k assigned. Since this card has only been offered since Tuesday 11/4/14, I think that's as much info as I'm going to get for now.

Might need to have this one added to the master TU puller thread.

Yes, but I'm going to wait until either I or someone else applies and has their EQ and EX locked so only TU can be pulled to see if the phone rep was 100% correct.

If this is indeed Comenity, they usually pull HP Equifax for cold apps. If it starts working like a SCT, then it may be SP on Experian.

I have been a member since 2010 and I tried the SCT but no luck. Probably because I am waiting to get discharged but I spend quite a bit of money at BJs so who knows. When I got to the application it says something about prescreened offers but I am not willing to apply right now. lol.

Don't bother as you will just waste a hard pull. Comenity won't approve fresh out of BK. I tried another of their cards and that was the only reason listed for my denial.

Only one BJ joke in the first 12 replies.

You guys are growing up.

There probably would have been a BJ joke sooner had you been online.

I'm a little rusty.

The only one I can think of is actually a riddle, and it's a hundred years old and not very funny.

"Why can't Miss Piggy count to 70?"

You can Google the ending.

Because she gets a frog stuck in her throat at 69.

Would 4+ years out of BK be an issue for Comenity?

Tried for Total Rewards, denied BK, 5 years out.

I app'd for this card today got app pending you will receive a letter within 10 days, most likely a denial, hard pull on eq, I wonder with this recent switch to Comenity if anyone has received an instant approval... oh well will wait for that letter....
