I'm wondering the same thing, my wife has a boat load of Salliemae lates :/

Again, it is just a name change, if you are late, you are still late - you can't dispute that unless you want to write a good-will letter OR provide factual proof that you were not late in your payment.

I successfully did that when they duplicated the loans and the new ones didn't have any LPs showing.

 

I disputed as duplicate of the new ones and they removed the entire old TLs.

Wait...I just received a settlement offer from NES of OHIO for a private loan that was handled by Sallie Mae. I'm certain it was a private loan because I had exhausted eligibility for fed loans. Did I miss something?

We do not have any sample goodwill letters on the student loan forum board; however, you can perform a random google search for it.
