Clarification needed from Experts on B*

I just needed to ask a question for clarification. In all my reading I see that is is advised to avoid Backdoor and Disputes while involved in B*. Now I would think from a technical standpoint that an additional SP would assist in your journey of B*, though I don't know what a dispute would do and for that matter what an additional SP does during B* via BD, please advise.

In my experience backdoors and disputes don't affect TU B*. Best to avoid them on EQ along with any EQ products or your life might get a bit more difficult and expensive. Recommendation for first time EQ B* is to pull only USAA CCMP for EQ unless you have already disputed or signed up for EQ products. As uber mentioned you might want to search C* for more info and as always check out the master threads.

You don't know what C* is?

I do know what C* is, however I am asking for clarification, everyone says that certain actions will cause C* and I am not disputing that, after all, the experts are here and that's why I asked. But I am trying to understand the "WHY" C* is caused, so that I make sure I DO NOT make the mistakes many many thru trial and error.

From what I've read, C* is blowback from B*. The mechanism is 'EQ doesn't like getting gamed'. I was reading some threads from maybe five years ago and people were waxing poetic about the days when there was no C*.

There was some discussion here about why C* was set up and why they didn't just open up the storage for stuff like sp. The thought was, from what I remember, that there was a cba done by EQ and it was decided that in the event B* was getting gamed they'd just put the clamp down with C* - rather than ask for extra storage needs.

I'm probably off on this, but that's what I remember from reading really old threads.

Someone please correct me.

C* is blowback from B*

Yes, but that doesn't mean they haven't tightened the triggers down to "extra extra paranoid." They can only control what they can see, and what they see is that you took X measures which allowed you to see your softs.

Listen up, OP. This is an old-school BISK talkin'.

I've also been out of the game for quite some time. I barely know what to actually use anymore, but I read up enough to find out that what the OP is concerned about is definitely still a thing.

I was pretty confounded a few months ago when I logged on to EC and found out they coded their own as ND now, but I didn't have time to research it.

I have not read that far back, wow. But I have seen the dissolution of B* discussed from puller to puller since 2011... They are up against a tidal wave. The Sea of CB

Confounded isn't quite the word I would use. :swoon:

I guess you didn't catch the punitive actions they took against me for months, Special C*.

Not really, just know that it was ugly and B* was impossible for me. Nothing worked... :cry2:

We should have a thread where people post their questions about B* and get help from the experts.

and make it a Master thread.

...and make it 450 pages.

....and parrot the same info over and over and over again.

Hey everyone. I hope everyone has a great holiday. Does the Experian Credit Expert program work for bumpage? Let me know. Many blessings for you and your families.

My DW seems to have been dropped from the Equifax Choppage block. She was not chopped in September, and now again not chopped in October. Presently, she is pulling both EIDT and Alert Plus and just B* today an inquiry dated 9/23/14 on her second pull of the day which makes sense being around 42.5 days ago.

Has anyone else had the experience of getting off the choppage list? Should she stop pulling twice a day and go down to just one puller, EIDT? She did back door twice in September to confirm no choppage, but has not since.

I have been getting a CreditKarma update weekly for a while now, just by logging in, and a week after my last update it would automatically just repopulate with a new report.

Today, I should have gotten an update, my last one was Oct 15, but the website is different and there is not the usual wording on the landing page like this (still showing for my DW):

Any ideas what might be going on here? Anyone else seeing this issue?

I also notice that my DW's login landing page is: https://www.creditkarma.com/dashboard whereas mine is now: https://www.creditkarma.com/myfinances/score and manually going to dashboard URL just brings me back to score URL again.

the last two inquiries shown on this report have long been B* from Equifax Complete. Does USAA not report updated Inquiries (hard) on a timely basis or do I have a problem? and it doesn't show a legit HI from Oct. 9th... May I assume that USAA is not at its finest on the latest and greates of HI reporting? Also, it is showing a CA that was removed almost immediately as the entry was in error... but it is still zinging my experian score...it is dated 9/15 and was removed by CA almost immediately after call from my lawyer...

Menta33 discovered a new emergency EQ puller for people who cannot get an Amex, such as those on the Amex blacklist. In order to keep this active and working, we aren't posting it publicly.

If you would like information, send me a PM. If you have fewer than 500 posts or we don't know you, we aren't going to share the information with you at this time. Making these things too accessible and public is what gets them shut down.

Thanks again to Menta33 for this discovery!
