Clarification needed from Experts on B*

I just needed to ask a question for clarification. In all my reading I see that is is advised to avoid Backdoor and Disputes while involved in B*. Now I would think from a technical standpoint that an additional SP would assist in your journey of B*, though I don't know what a dispute would do and for that matter what an additional SP does during B* via BD, please advise.

In my experience backdoors and disputes don't affect TU B*. Best to avoid them on EQ along with any EQ products or your life might get a bit more difficult and expensive. Recommendation for first time EQ B* is to pull only USAA CCMP for EQ unless you have already disputed or signed up for EQ products. As uber mentioned you might want to search C* for more info and as always check out the master threads.

I do know what C* is, however I am asking for clarification, everyone says that certain actions will cause C* and I am not disputing that, after all, the experts are here and that's why I asked. But I am trying to understand the "WHY" C* is caused, so that I make sure I DO NOT make the mistakes many many thru trial and error.

Don't do anything that lets you see your softs. Don't use multiple pullers. Some pullers == instant C*. Safest bet is pull USAA for 3 months and if that doesn't work start reading.

From what I've read, C* is blowback from B*. The mechanism is 'EQ doesn't like getting gamed'. I was reading some threads from maybe five years ago and people were waxing poetic about the days when there was no C*.

 

There was some discussion here about why C* was set up and why they didn't just open up the storage for stuff like sp. The thought was, from what I remember, that there was a cba done by EQ and it was decided that in the event B* was getting gamed they'd just put the clamp down with C* - rather than ask for extra storage needs.

 

I'm probably off on this, but that's what I remember from reading really old threads.

I've also been out of the game for quite some time. I barely know what to actually use anymore, but I read up enough to find out that what the OP is concerned about is definitely still a thing.

 

I was pretty confounded a few months ago when I logged on to EC and found out they coded their own as ND now, but I didn't have time to research it.

I have not read that far back, wow. But I have seen the dissolution of B* discussed from puller to puller since 2011... They are up against a tidal wave. The Sea of CB
