I am so overwhelmed. :swoon:

http://creditboards.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=533733&hl=

I was sent this direction to post in medical- and I am attempting to start the process for the medical bills, but have so many questions! DO I have to opt out? What does it mean I am opting out of insurance also? My credit report came up with my maiden name (Been married 4+ years) does that matter? Do I opt out under my maiden name or my married name?
Also, for verification, I have a couple of disputes on my credit report, I am not supposed to even look at those until I clear up the medical ones, right?

Opting out has nothing to do with your insurance or the privacy notices you get from banks. You are opting out from the CRAs to prevent them from selling your data to data miners.

Follow the guides:

What do you mean by ", I have a couple of disputes on my credit report, I am not supposed to even look at those until I clear up the medical ones, right? "??

If you have a PENDING dispute then you should wait until it is resolved. If your report shows that you have disputed accounts and your last communication has been over 90 days ago, you can go ahead and send the initial dispute letter once you have opted out and deleted old addresses.

If your maiden name is showing as your current name, get that fixed too at the same time you delete old addresses.

I've done the opt out, but I have a couple of questions about the next step.

include a copy of your drivers license, a copy of your SS card and a copy of a recent utility bill as proof of your identity and correct address.
I do not have a utility bill in my name, everything is in my husband's name.

If your husband's name is showing on your credit report, that is fine.
