If I could intervene in your fun, for just a moment.......... Our board etiquette frowns on making public a private message, especially when meant to demean or ridicule another. Best way to get even with an annoyance is to ignore it.

but when some salamander harasses others through PM, they deserve a public shaming flogging

FYI: There is a work around to the AMEX AU blacklist. I'm willing to share via PM with mod. I burnt AMEX in a chap7 3 years ago. I currently hold a Plat, PRG and SPG as an AU with my own account access.

I have not tried to sign up for CS though.

do tell, if you're inclined :D

OK, Marv. I'll behave.

The ignore list works nicely I guess. :D

there's a big difference between making public

a "dumb" question so everyone can laugh

and outright hate mail that should have never been sent in the first place.

In the event that the "hate mail" is especially heinous, you could always forward it to a mod/admin and if warranted, the offender will be dealt with appropriately.

Slippery slope argument. Let's just respect the house rule. Even though I'd love to see what kind of ballbag does stuff like that.

Nothing has reached that level, but I will be sure to do so. :good:

Wow mendelssohn, sorry ur even dealing with this. I work with the public and I know all too well how people can be such the buttwipes they are. My wife always says that grown ups at times are nothing but big a@@ kids. Ridiculous.

Many years ago,

a mod sent me a particularly despicable PM,

I didn't post it,

but I almost left CB forever.

I fully understand how Occam feels.

It's not that bad, guys. I'm just nipping it in the bud before it has a chance to continue. ;)

I have zero need for the pull and I think the rules are completely fair, but I just wanted to add my lowly two cents to what has been a funny conversation!

I've been here forever, read until my eyes bled, and brought my scores from the low 500's to over 700 on two of the big three. I read here almost every day, mostly for entertainment purposes, as you guys are hilarious! I don't post much, but it's for a reason I think. There are soooo many people here with an obnoxious amount of knowledge and experience. When I read posts and I think I have something to add, sometimes I am afraid to do so and be 'wrong'. I know what worked for me, but that may not fit everyone. I respect the hell out of this community, and the thought of one of you reading my posts and rolling your eyes at my credit stupidity makes my bowels tight, heh. Call it a severe case of Hero Worship or whatev, but it's the truth! So I read, I cringe, I chuckle, but I don't post for fear of saying the wrong thing. Just another perspective from an unintentional 'moocher' . I guess I will have to work on that!

Don't be afraid to share your opinions and give advice. What you just mentioned here is why it's important for everyone to share their experiences. The more angles that people have on disputing and (re)building credit the better. :good:

No kidding!! If your story only helps ONE other person, that is huge! :good:

Agreed. Post more. :D

Don't tell anyone I told you guys this, but the CreditCricket has figured out how to B* EX. And s/he has been too timid to share the news. :dntknw:

Nobody sends me hate mail. I feel pretty left out.

Had to do a double take on who posted this ... not who I expected. :)

Hey! What's that mean LOL.

You tell me!

No worries, generally you're nothing like that little irrepressible urchin ...

Where is he, btw?

Add me to a long list of long time members who thinks carefully before he or she posts and does my fooling around on FB, not here.

I don't need this nor desire to know the "top secret" method, but there has got to be a better way to "vet" people.

A chatty person who is unemployed and lonely can make 500 posts in a few months or less, that doesn't mean squat.

*edit - I've been here longer than the poster of this thread - by four years.

Guess that don't mean much.

Darn I have been on here a year and only have 190 posts. Would it be adventitious to make the additional 310 posts today or tomorrow? Is the 500 more of a guideline or a rule? I am not a big fan of rules.........I much prefer the grey area's

No, it doesn't mean much if you don't bother to post from time to time.

You don't have to make some break-through discovery or anything major. Just help out some newbies with credit repair here.

We're a community. Everyone can contribute.

I think he was referring to my obscene post count

I laugh every time I read this line, and I was trying to figure out why.

Then it hit me -- you've mastered ESL with aplomb!:rofl:

Yes. Please post 310 more posts by tomorrow. Interject each of them with the same purulent vigor you exemplify here. It will open doors and make you the envy of your rivals. Grey? Heck. You're a black-ops kind of guy, aren't you? Maybe they have what you're looking for over at the Alex Jones website.
