I feel the need to add my .02cents on this. ANY info that I gain from C.B. I look at as a gift. I lurked for a long time and only made my original post because I started feeling guilty, like I was spying on you guys. I still have a ton to learn, so I try to avoid posting as I feel there is almost always someone could give better info. I certainly don't feel entitled to anything, in other words Thank you Cb ERS for what you have shared. Please know there are still grateful newbies out there.

 

There's a ton of egg-breaking and cracking-wise going on `round here. You can always get in on some of that. Get your feet wet, maybe take a good drubbing before you feel comfortable posting about your personal experiences. I know a bunch of us started posting in that "style"; not to suggest that busting balls is a way to build trust...

 

...getting to know your posting style is a big deal too I think.

I used to think there was an air of elitism by the BI when it came down to B*, then I did my homework and read. Read some more. Realized the amazing amount of work they all put into making it a settled science. I'm not clean enough to worry about B* yet, I am working on DF's though. The knowledge here is tremendous.

 

I respect the guidelines established by this post and more importantly, I understand why.

 

My takeaways to starting B* successfully:

 

1. Read the new clean (for now) Master

2. Read the 470+ page Master

3. Ask relevant questions based on your reading

3.5 Don't be alarmed or offended if you catch some heat by asking questions

4. Do exactly what they say, no deviations.

5. Print out BobWangs spreadsheet

I have been here since 2006. I don't post really either. When I posted awhile back re NY 5year purge rule, I was told to explain what I did to get EX to delete a chargeoff, so I did, and then I was told I didn't explain well enough. I explained best I could but I gave up after that.
