I have 2 Barclay Cards. Any Chance of Getting #3

Was just denied for Barclays us airways card with 743 fico, 65k income, gonna call recon tomorrow, any advice on what to say besides that I wanna use it for upcoming international trip?

They tend not to like many inquiries or new accounts. However, if you already have a card or two (or four!) of theirs with a few years under your belt, on recon they tend to overlook the inquiries and new accounts.

After my first account with them, every other time it was an automatic denial which, upon recon, was easily taken care of. It seems like they also deny if you have accounts with them already.

If you have an existing, useless Barclays card (like the Rewards MC), offer to close it and move the limit to the US Airways card. They should go for that.

I have 3 baddies left on TU. By December I will have only 1 left.

 

But even then, I will wait patiently until March when my TU file is spotless and go for these other Barclay cards. I have intentions on getting rid of my Barclays MC.

So was just approved through recon, said that although I have s few new accounts, it seems that I've been managing then well, so they'll extend me a small limit if $2000, he also said that yesterday's denial was automatic since I already applied for the card a few months ago (and was denied then), and didn't even do a hard pull, so he pulled my report and approved. Thanks everyone!
