Approved for Capital One Venture card 10k limit less than 1 yr post chapter 7 discharge

OK, I think I now know what caused the fraud department to flag my account. Back in May-June I lost my wallet and someone fraudulently used one of my Capital One cards. I filed a Police report but they never requested that I send a copy. So hopefully that's all it is.

Had my buddy apply with a 716 , AAOA under 1 Year, lots of new acconts and inquiries low utilization, approved 10 K highest line was

5 K. Triple pulled was not instant due to fraud alert.

Just app'd for Cap 1 Venture (not VentureOne). Approved 10K. (40,000 bonus miles, no fee first year, probably downgrade next year)

 

BK7 D/C 11 months. Exp frozen. Pulled TU (653 MyFICO) and EQ (663 MyFICO). Previous high limit 3K Cap 1 QS1. 6 new inquiries on TU this weekend. 5 new accounts not yet reporting.

I try it and I get the message that they cannot find an offer for me. Also, I am only 2 months out of bk7, and I tried applying and they don't even pull my credit. They send me a denial based on the fact that I have excessive past or present obligations with them. I'm just wondering if this will be any different......

Wait a few months. Use and PIF the new cards you have now so you start showing a positive payment record. Then try again - with EX frozen.
