I was surprisingly approved for two Capital One cards this week. I did the pre-qualified link and was given the QuicksilverOne Rewards and the Classic Platinum as options. So I applied and to my surprise got both at $500 and $1,000 limits ,respectfully. Not great limits but I'll take them for rebuilding purposes. I half feel they are going to send me a "sorry, our mistake you're actually rejected" letters instead of cards in 7-10 days, lmao. I have two COs from 3 years ago, one of which is Capital One.

I had a preapproval for Quicksilver and the regular one but I went back on the site and applied for Venture One -- DENIED.

 

I have another Capital card and several others I've opened inthe past year since a BK. Score around 650 and excellent payment history. wait for the letter I guess. I know they pulled TU because the alert just got sent to my email (that was quick).

 

thinking I may try the preapproved ones and then claim duplicate pulls

Just signed up for my preapproved quicksilver $1,000cl - ill go and fight the pulls if needed

Strange though because my Capone Plat has a $3k line and others I have are $2-4k CL

I had equifax frozen, and my FICO on TU was 679. Definitely NOT excellant credit, and 20 months out of BK Discharge.

I filled out the app online and closed my eyes when I hit the "apply" button. Got an Instant approval at $10,000. I swear I was waiting for a letter saying there had been some glitch and I wouldn't being getting this card. But here it is. You Guys ROCK!!!!

They want me to send them a copy of my social and it will take 2 to 3 business days to review. Anyone else or it's just me so far?

I hope so too. Don't know what could have triggered the fraud being that I have two other accounts with them, but I've faxed the copy of my social and just have to wait and see.

Could also just be due to the influx of apps they have gotten.

OK, I think I now know what caused the fraud department to flag my account. Back in May-June I lost my wallet and someone fraudulently used one of my Capital One cards. I filed a Police report but they never requested that I send a copy. So hopefully that's all it is.
