Approved for Capital One Venture card 10k limit less than 1 yr post chapter 7 discharge

You guys are awesome. 2 years post BK and I just saw this thread. Too tempted to pass up on it, especially as I just bumped 14 of my 16 EQ inquiries. My MyFico EQ is 688. Too tempted from the successes I have seen on here now, I pulled the trigger and I applied just 10 minutes ago.

I saw that "Excellent" rating and was a little worried about applying. What gave me the courage is the OP who said he got the $10,000 only about 8 months post BK. So, I said it wouldn't hurt to try for it. Worst that can happen is an inquiry, which I will bump in a month or 2. So, I went for it.

 

I applied for the VentureOne. I am looking forward to receiving my Gold card in 10 days. I hear it is SHINY.

After reading the thread, I went for it. I also don't consider my credit excellent - neither did Cap One several months ago when I applied for this card and was denied.

No not everyone apped for the Venture one. Choosing V or VO should make no difference on approval chances, they are both excellent credit.

One has a fee and pays more rewards and the other has no fee and pays less.

 

If you charge more than 8k per year on your card then go for the V, if not, then the VO.

Yeah, I apped for the Blue Venture card and got the 10-day wait for card.

Just received confirmation letter "You are approved $10,000 for a credit card issued by Capital One. I applied for the Venture Card. Doesn't sat Venture Card on the approval letter. Just that card will arrive in 2 to 3 weeks. Should i call them to verify which card?

It's your Venture card, I got the same letter. The card will show up in a few more days - not 2 to 3 weeks. Congrats!

 

BTW - wear protective eye gear, the Venture One is REALLY BRIGHT GOLD.
