I just found this service called Chex Approval. They claim to get your chexsystem cleared. Has anybody used this or aware of a competitor? What was your experience?

http://www.chexapproval.com/#!process/ccjb

Get your negatives cleared for a fee from a site with no named personnel or testimonials ---I'm skeptical.

And would this work more certainly or faster than just writing a good will letter?

I think you already know the answer to this one!

Items in Chex are almost impossible to get removed even when paid. One of the few options is a pay to delete but not many places are willing to do that.

No one can guarantee removal. The scam red flag is the first line of the first paragraph on their site.

'The process transpires immediately after a successful payment.'

A best practice is to review your Chexsystems, EWS and Telecheck reports for any errors.

If there is nothing viable to dispute, try negotiating PFD (pay for delete) with the reporting bank or credit union.

Or, locate a non-Chexsystems banking solutions in your area. We recommend options based on your location here on Cboards.

I think we have a candidate for a new Chex forum lead here..👆

Yep, you've given some helpful info I've used on the biz forum.

I think collective minds are good . . . that's where the solutions come from.

Collective minds are good thing... Also having a leader is key.. Some of the forums don't get a lot of attention so it's nice to have some one who is there frequently to take a lead to do things.

As we mentioned above, this site is a scam. Better to go through the legal dispute process yourself, or find a non-Chexsystems bank or credit union.

Several others have mentioned the workaround of getting the Serve American Express prepaid, plus a brokerage account and/or local credit union savings. Between those options, you have direct deposit, a debit card, checks and deposit/wire transfer services if you need them.

Note: It is illegal for a business to ask for money upfront to "repair" a consumer reporting agency file.

You mean...tmcgill isn't already the Chex forum lead?

Seriously, both of you offer tremendous amounts of great advice in this forum :good:

Thanks GetWisdom. I owe a lot to MCA. I was a moderator on the former Chexvictims.com site, before the site owner shut us down and she had to scramble and create Chexvictims.net.

I know a lot, but more importantly I am always open to learning from others. The banking arena changes constantly and no one individual has a monopoly on information. Collectively, we learn from one another.

I was in a dark place financially, but MCA helped me turn things around and I try to pay that forward.

Haven't heard from her in awhile, so I hope all is well.

. . . and yes, BRBiz has great info and insight.

Thanks guys.. Most of my experience with Chex is from helping my brother in law more recently and years and years ago my own issues with Chex. Sharing is key especially when trying to find Chex friendly banks so it is a team effort here.

But I would like to see TMC lead this forum, he/she knows a lot about this subject and now I know he/she also has the experience. So my vote goes to TMC! Even if its unofficial! Having a few more leads or even Mod's wouldn't hurt especially lately with the unusually high amount of drama.

Very cool. I was on both of those sites too, and as stated in another thread, I owe a lot to MCA as well :-)

Keep doing what you're doing, guys :good:
