The Master Balance Transfer Thread

Recommended Posts

I didn't see this posted so figured I would (sorry if I missed a posting).

NFCU has a 2.9% for BT or new cards for 12 months. Here is the offer:

Special Balance Transfer Offer

Transfer a balance from another financial institution to a Navy Federal credit card and get 2.99% fixed intro APR on balance transfers for 12 months.1After that, a variable rate between 7.99% APR and 18% applies.2 Just answer "yes" on the credit card application when asked if you have a balance you'd like to transfer to your new card. Offer is valid for both new and existing Navy Federal cardholders.1 Existing cardholders can log onto Account Access and click on the Credit & Debit Cards tab. Use the Credit Card Balance Transfer link to make your request.

You can read more HERE

I was looking at the url and it say '|jan_feb|' in the link so I am guessing it will be available until sometime in February.

If your financial forecast looks a little bleak this early in the new year, don't worry. Just bring your balances to Andrews Federal Credit Union.

With great rates, an easy application process and NO collateral required, you're certain to get a great deal!

  • Rates as low as 6.99% APR*
  • Loan amounts up to $20,000**
  • Fixed, affordable payments
  • Flexible terms up to 84 months

Get your finances in shape and apply today. Give us a call, stop by a local branch or apply online.

*6.99% Annual Percentage Rate (APR) is a fixed-rate on personal, unsecured loans up to $20,000 with terms up to 36 months. Up to 45 day first payment deferment available for new signature personal loans obtained during the offer period. Additional rates and terms are available for qualified applicants for up to 84 months. Minimum loan amount will depend on term selected; cannot borrow less than $1,000. Your actual rate may vary and will be based on your loan amount, term and credit history. Additional restrictions may apply. Payment example: For a $10,000 signature loan for a term of 36 months with an 6.99% APR, the monthly payment will be $308.86. Penfed has a 0 percent offer for 12 months. Not the greatest, but...does Penfed actually do a credit check for a balance transfer if you already have a card? I know its a credit union, but their little disclaimer makes me ask...

All my Barclay cards have 0% for 12 months, 3% fee. I have iTunes, Rewards & Arrival. Discover it also had the same deal. Fee sucks, but 0% isn't bad.

Must be targeted. The standard is 2.99% with no fee. You gonna grab some free $$$?

I use those every few months to show activity on the card and then pay them off before any interest ever hits. Earned quite a few auto CLIs that way.

Good to know, thanks. Have had this card since '07 & never paid enough attention to notice this. Just love my $0.08/gal gas discount at Sheetz:)
