mendelssohn
This thread is to track and predict NFCU and other balance transfer offers. Some of these offers are targeted, and some are open to everyone. They also seem to offer both 0% APR offers and low APR transfers at various times. If you do a balance transfer outside of any of these special offers, it is treated as a cash advance. As many have posted before, NFCU seems to do the general 0% balance transfer offers about twice year. Many of us are speculating that the next 0% offer will be at the end of August or early September. Please add your own data to this thread, and we can continue to update it and make future predictions. Please add data in this format: Date Source (email, website, etc.) APR (0% or other) Term (in months) Ending date (if known) Next predicted 0% BT offer: August 29, 2014

shifter
Wow that's sweet. Do they also send you convenience checks?
BobWang
Well, that was for new apps, I don't have any Navy CCs, but I imagine they DO send out the other kind of CCs

BobWang
The very fact that I only had 2 weeks to act on this offer, portends a new round of offers.

Yes, I'm guessing the 0% BT offer for existing card holders is coming. I don't want a second card with them and don't need a BT offer, so someone else will have to GP that offer. CTSoxFan
It used to be that they did it once a year, usually in February (figure to capture the "I spent too much on Christmas and now I can't pay it all off crowd"). Last year, they did one in September, but I believe that was tied to their 80th anniversary (or so they pitched it), so I wouldn't be counting on one for the fall...but you never know. I am hoping for the 0%/$0 fee option to come around in early 2015 again...right when I will have to move a balance around.
BobWang
Lucky, what do you think of asking a mod to remove NFCU from the thread title, and make this The Master Balance Transfer Thread
mendelssohn
Sounds like a good idea, especially since it's looking like NFCU won't be doing too many of these offers. It would probably help people looking to get out of CC debt.
BobWang
If any mods are listening, can you remove NFCU from the title? I'll also ask Mom.

Is she your mother who is on this board as a moderator or owner or is the title one of respect/ deference? Or are we not supposed to ask?? mizliz1011
Mrs. Bob's Mom- I meant no disrespect. Bob, same. It is just all so mysterious. And I am still confused whether you or HLynne is a french model... And I still don't know if you all actually know one another or just have sterling memories for msl. facts out of historical posts. For all I know, I know nothing... Except that it is a very humorous board with some very witty members. And that HL is the queen cat who builds pyramids. And that my sister's old BF told me that I was an salamander to try to repair credit without this board. and I agree.
