I call the backdown number ask if the mistake can be fixed and use the same pull op said no. I applied online this time and they said no. I call the backdoor number again the reason two hp. I explain op mistake yesterday that is the reason for the two hp. then he said yes and got 5000 dollars card.

Congrats on the approval!

I agree with CV, don't bump for 2 inquiries. It's a waste of money for potentially no gain.

Barclays pulls TU almost exclusively, or TU + 1 more.

In the Creditpulls DB for NY and Barclays, it shows 22 TU only pulls, 3 EQ only pulls and several that were TU + 1 more. If you see something like that next time, you need to assume that they will pull TU.

Whenever I see an odd pull in Creditpulls, I usually discount it as an input error or an oddity that is not likely to happen.

Ignoring outlying data points works almost universally for most of life's mainstream experiences. People get way too hung up on the exceptions.

People in general.

I applied for a Arrival + last week using the on-line application. Got the non-denial denial and immediately called the underwriter. The underwriter told me that they had a record of a HP from a previous application. He said if you have applied for credit within the last 3-4 months and have been denied, the on-line app comes back with the non-denial denial. In addition, their system will not do a HP. Furthermore, If you do not recon the app, they will deny the app by default.

I asked him to reconsider my app now. He asked if he could do an HP. I gave my consent. He did the pull and I was approved.

The next day I checked my credit reports and I found out the he had pulled both TU and EX. I think he did this because I had B* ed the old HP off my TU credit report and he caught it. He probably reads the boards and know you cant B* EX and checked EX to see if I was on a credit spree.

I can only assume they do pull another credit report other than TU when they think there might be some B* ing going on.
