I can't find the vacuum cleaner.

If we moved it to Mudland that means I haven't vacuumed since June of 2014.

Doesn't your cleaning lady take care of that?
The Roomba was in charge of interim work between maid visits, but it died a couple of weeks ago. There is crap all over the kitchen floor, and it's driving me crazy.

Doesn’t it suck?

Battery no longer charges.

Roomba is back in business with a new, higher-capacity battery. :good:

Some friends of ours are traveling in Asia.

The pilot on their China Eastern flight to Dhaka flew them to Calcutta by mistake.

They must have 1d10ts for air traffic controllers over in that part of the world.

That could be pilots mistake not air traffic controllers'.

True, but the controller might have piped up and said "hey maroon your paperwork says you're supposed to go to Dhaka, you're flying the wrong way!"

Old man just got on the bus. The driver originally turned him away because he had a soda in his hand. Man says ok, steps off the bus takes two large gulps of what seemed to be watermelon drink, and then tossed the styrofoam cup into the parking lot and got on the bus.

If I was the bus driver, I would have closed the doors and drove away...

My pilot and crew in CE were smoking in the cockpit from Shanghai to Hong Kong. The crew was also drinking. Without offering wine as an option to the biz class passengers.

This airline sounds worse than Frontier or Southwest.

I have great water pressure coming into my apartment. Couple that with my old school non restricted shower head, and it's like riot control with fire hoses. Hope that comment doesn't trigger anyone.

I have one of those too, from when I lived in an apartment ~1995. The maintenance man had swapped it out for the water-saver type and threw the old one in my bathroom trashcan. I fished it out and have taken it with me everywhere I've lived. Always on the top of my list of things to pack. It's still working, with the help of some Teflon tape.

Don't they have shower faucets head that has pressure monitoring like this one?

  • Monitor pressure balance valve keeps water temperature within a safe +/-3degrees F (+/-1.6degrees C), helping to protect you from sudden changes in hot or cold water pressure

The guy who took a dump at the Airspace Lounge in San Diego and left the restroom without washing his hands Is seated in the row behind me on this flight.

There is a guy who works on the same floor of my office building who doesn't wash after taking a pee which is bad enough, but that is beyond disgusting.

Yeppurs...the old ones are ALWAYS worth hanging on to.

When they started changing over to restricted flow, it was easy to fix by pulling out the plastic restrictor. I have no idea if it is still that easy though since now they likely MOLD them in a restricted manner...which would require a Dremel.

I read some restaurant reviews on yelp in San Francisco last December. Now I receive weekly tips on hot new restaurants and bars in San Fran... where I have spent ~0.02% of my life.

Water heater just gave up. :(

With the water heater in San Diego replaced, I boldly boarded a flight to Mudland on Tuesday, where I arrived just in time for the AC to die.

Last year we made a last-ditch $700 repair in hopes of extending its life through the end of our indefinite ownership window for this home, but that didn't work... so I think replacement is our only option this time around.

I'll know more after the repair guy gets here in an hour.

$9,490 and we're good to go.

We're replacing the heater at the same time.

It's been dinging us for repairs every year, and it's bound to be next.

Work gets done on Tuesday when we're back from Savannah.

Talk about your ball stickage!

At least we will have the option of ducking inside for AC. The stickage at home has been stifling.
