Hi All,

 

I am looking for a bank or credit union where I can open a secured visa or mc like Armed Forces Bank that does not do a HP and it does not matter if you are on Chex but will allow you to add money anytime as well. Do you have any suggestions? I am not looking for Cap1 secured. I looking for a normal bank or cu.

Armed Forces Bank also owns Academy Bank Midwest. I have an account with them and they are very difficult and very hard to work with. I'm closing everything I have with them come October. Try a credit union. When you call customer service for AFB it takes forever to get through usually.

In reading their website, Dickinson Financial owns five or six banks of various names, including this one. Anyone can open an account.

 

If you're looking for a bank or credit union that is more dedicated to the military, there's always USAA and Navy Federal. I don't know how Chex friendly they are.
