Alliant... Worth it or not?

Not unless you need to ACH several hundred thousand dollars within 15 seconds on a regular basis.

I suppose you never know when you'll need to do that!

In that case... Probably not worth it, ha.

It's probably one of the best ACH hubs to transfer any amount fast and free.

Prefer USAA but also have Alliant.

Their interest rate at 0.7% is fairly decent in this day of 0.1% interest rates.

They still have 24/7 call center hours.

Great ACH hub.

Great user interface.

Decent limits on CC's.

Competitive auto loan rates.

I use them as my main financial institution.

I found them to be a pain in the flowers and when I asked for anything always got the run around and stipulations. IE: asked for an auto loan for the car I bought in 2012 - application just sat there for days and when they did approve it they wanted like 20% down payment. Just did the loan with NFCU instead and zero hassle. After being annoyed with them far too many times I closed all my accounts. But meh, just me. :)

I joined thinking I would one day use them when interest rates rose.

My account has been closed for inactivity.

They have instant availability of funds on remote capture deposits up to $20k per day.

Decent interest rates compared to mainstream banks, which isn't saying much.

I've always found them easy to work with.

If you were happy every day of your life you wouldn't be a human being. You'd be a game-show host.

I am pretty sure you remember my Alliant rant threads, I romanced them as much as I had the energy for. I think they are incapable of "getting it up". :)
