Re-activate USAA membership?

Recommended Posts

Kind of an odd question, but when my son was born 15 yrs ago my brother opened a USAA account for him...for us to out money into. Like salamanders we never used it. My brother got p-oed about it and closed the account several years ago. It would be nice to have it now that he's older and he could use it himself. Do you think I could call USAA with his info and get it reopened or does my brother have to do it?

Why do you want to do this?

Because USAA is a useful financial institution for SOME people, perhaps .... ;)

Yeah, it is great when there is a check rather than greenbacks to deposit. :)

Yeah, it is great when there is a check rather than greenbacks to deposit. :)

And much better for the person who's paying you, so they have proof without having to also keep track of a receipt.

I would absolutely agree ... 100%. I prefer checks myself ....

While cash will always be subprime, I don't believe it will go away...at least not "soon"...

I don't think cash will completely go away any time soon. I was joking about depositing cash remotely but it could always be a possibility. Maybe cash will become disposable kinda like checks.
